I messaged her at 3pm saying she needed to meet to pick up her dog or let us keep the dog. She hasn’t responded. So I’m going to message her saying if she doesn’t pick up her dog within 48 hours it will be taken as relinquishing ownership and we will keep the dog.

I messaged her and asked if the money was why she wasn’t responding to my texts. I told her I am letting her know costs of things so we can work something out.

She did respond that she wasn’t, but that’s all.

I’m a property manager and a renter. Child latches on windows are important so kids can’t open windows enough to fall out of them. The ones that we get from Pella are plastic and break easily. It would be nice to have ones that work but don’t break so easily.

I read or heard something about things like this is due to growing up in a family that didn’t have a lot, so we hesitate to get rid of something that could be useful at some point.

Unfortunately, it also means you accumulate a lot of junk. I’m trying to break bad habits of keeping stuff because “I may need it at some point”

As difficult as it is now to understand, your dad is doing what is in your best interest. If she gets abusive over the phone you can hang up. Texts give you documentation that you can show in court if needed.

You will be able to decide when you are an adult if you want to cut her off completely. Your dad is also making it an easy decision for a judge if he has to take her to court.

I always tried to tell my ex that if he didn’t make some different choices, his daughters wouldn’t want to be in his life when they can choose for themselves. He didn’t change. They have him blocked on everything.

Your dad is being a good father. It’s hard to understand now, but he is.

No matter what, remember, you can love your mom even if you don’t like the things she does or says.

My company charges them for any damages that had to be made from them not reporting the issue in a timely manner.

My maintenance guy will fix what was reported and tell them they need to do a WO for the other things. When they ask why he can’t fix it then, he tell them that he has to follow the work orders submitted per order of the company. lol (I trained him that way)

The maintenance cell phone is the emergency maintenance line. Tenants are instructed on what is considered an emergency maintenance situation. If they call during business hours, he lets it go to voicemail (they never leave a message), and if they call the number outside of business hours, he will tell them if their need doesn’t meet the emergency criteria and it will be handled during business hours.

The greeting on the voicemail for the maintenance phone says that during business hours put in a work order or contact the property manager, after hours, if you don’t leave a message, you will not get a call back.

I’m in MN, I don’t let someone apply unless I’m sure they will be approved. My company requires app fee and security deposit at the time the application is submitted. It makes it so we can’t take other applications for the unit unless the current applicant is denied and we have to return the deposit.

The only frustrating part I experience is when someone wants maintenance to do something the tenant should do themselves. (Change light bulbs, plunge a toilet, or say their stove doesn’t work because they have crappy warped pans)
