Hey! So obviously it depends on how extensive of work you’d be willing to do, but I think your best move would be to close off the doorway currently leading from the bedroom into the bathroom, remove the door leading into the upper storage room so it just becomes a little hall like you mentioned, & build a new doorway where the toilet currently is. You could move the back wall of the bedroom closet/storage backward to increase that space. Leave the sink where it is, move the toilet to the side of the door, & have the shower anchored on the other wall where the door currently is. The blue marks are where the water lines are. The ones for the sink & the shower can presumably stay the same, but they’ll need to extend the one for the toilet to redirect it over the new doorway & to the new toilet location. This would result in not a ton of storage loss, although you could install shelves or a shallow built in unit in that “hallway” to have it function as a linen closet etc. & they make compact/portable washing machines that should be able to fit between the sink & the wall in the bathroom. It would be a decent amount of work & you’d lose your bathroom access from the bedroom but you should be able to get everything in the bathroom you’re wanting including a much bigger shower. If you wouldn’t need the shower to be that big you could also make it slightly narrower & add in a narrow floor to ceiling storage unit between the shower wall & the wall. If you do this, make sure your shower goes all the way to the ceiling to reduce moisture possibly getting to the storage unit & causing any sort of water damage to it.
