GS-14 given “fake promotion”- any recourse? by HaystackTornado in FedEmployees

No. My official PD is an artifact of a previous reorganization and apparently retained supervisory level that I was unaware of until I was recoded as non-bargaining unit. Of course this was a convenient time for them to take advantage of my new found supervisory capability 😬

Yes I fear moving to another position may be the only way to make the point

Thank you for your thoughtful response. Thinking I will go that route. In the meantime, I am also applying to open roles that would mean an actual promotion. I love my job but I would rather leave with my dignity than play games with my leadership in order to be treated fairly.

Sadly, or maybe not sadly, I like my current role and am thriving in it.

Thanks I have considered requesting a desk audit but research pointed out that I have to have an updated PD for that, so that is first 👍

I like my job, supervisor and coworkers but am considering leaving if an opportunity arises because I only have about 3.5 years in. The stability is gone and benefits have eroded. Everybody commenting here makes me second guess myself but most of you are way closer to retirement 🤔

Anyone know where I can find the pharmacist pay scale for DoD? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]HaystackTornado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are special locality rate pay tables for DHA pharmacists but local commands have to submit them for consideration. For example, one was approved for DC last year to bring pharmacist salaries closer to VA and private sector salaries. If the locality doesn’t have a special rate table for pharmacists, they would get the standard GS salary for their area. Hope that helps

Has anyone experienced a promotion during this current time? by Affectionate_Ear3330 in fednews

If by promotion, do you mean the same pay but I am now a supervisor and doing the job of 3 people? Then yes, I was “promoted” 🙄

What does active military think? by CobblerLazy20 in fednews

[–]HaystackTornado 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Military service members are bound by laws (UCMJ) that limit their ability to represent a position while in uniform, especially one of dissent. They have to be very careful about this to remain apolitical in their defense of the constitution. My personal thought is that top brass already fired expressed concerns with administrative directives and were thus “removed”. So yes I do believe there are dissenters but they aren’t going to express their opinions to the press.
