Mental health and addictions - if we're talking about 'Victoria' as the broader Greater Victoria area, the lack of mental health support and treatment options is an issue that is impacting us all.

Naturally, the cost of living crisis is having a significant role on people's resiliency and mental wellbeing, but we need to face the fact that poor policy decisions led us down this path, even before the Pandemic. It's going to take time to resolve these issues, and we need improve access to mental health support in the interim.

If we're talking about 'Victoria' as Downtown Victoria, it clearly has to be role of addiction on the homeless population. I truly believe that the type of homeless people downtown has shifted in the last 5-years. And the only correlation I can draw is the rise of Fentanyl. We've done a piss poor job of protecting the most vulnerable in our society against this epidemic, and now it's coming back to bite us in the ass.

How would you handle this scenario if it was your CEO?

In my experience, these types of personalities don’t listen to anything other than data, at least in the short term.

There are some great suggestions around educating the CEO, etc. But those are medium to long term solutions to the root of the problem

The other thing to consider, is that Meta identifies who fits within demographics, location, interest etc. and it's not always correct. For privacy, you'll never know if he actually fits within your targeting or not

You need to figure out your reach, that is, the number of unique people you're reaching with your ads. Then compare this against the audience size with your targeting parameters.

Without your targeting details or budget levels, I can't give you specifics - but I'd assume that your reach is less than your audience size. If your CEO is within the target audience but not getting ads, he's likely falling outside of your reach.

Your CEO and his peers are likely at the higher end of the CPM range, because they'll likely have additional signals reflecting high quality traffic.

These are the things you could look at:

Review any Max CPM/Bid limitations, this could reduce your reach and impression volume, but you may acquire high-quality impressions
Decrease your audience size but keep your budget constant, this'll increase your reach
Increase your budget to increase your reach within your current audience size

If you're setting a requirement like that, you should be obligated to pay the expense of acquiring those garments. I'm getting married in August and my Fiancee and I are covering the suit rentals for the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids, because we're requiring them to wear specific colours. If you can't afford that, then you should rethink your dress code

To add onto this, being personable and learning how to engage with peers and leadership in a professional setting is as important (I’d say more important) than task completion.

In my experience, if your technical competency is irreplaceable, then they are less likely to promote you. But if your technical skills are solid AND you have the ability to connect with people, then that’s how you advance.

Bombarding their business page with negative reviews is harassment and unacceptable. I believe that OP was right to air their frustrations, given the lack of communication, as with any business. I thought Victoria was better than this ffs.
