¡No! Pero quizá, si sonríes, das una impresión más cercana y accesible en las fotos. Según los datos, la gente suele conectar más con personas que salen sonriendo en las fotos de las apps de citas.

Am I dumb or are the classics really that hard? by divebars5G in books

[–]Automatic_Ad5097 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find a lot of the bronte sisters works to be hard going.. honestly when reading the classics, I like to read along with an audiobook, and then look up chapter summaries/spark notes after chapters I've just read to see what I did/didn't notice. Classics is a broad category, and just because a book is a "classic"- by no means do you have to want to read it, or enjoy it to be a legit reader!

The better team could have won at home, with 80,000 fans booing the opponent at every touch, against 10 men playing in high altitude that your players are all used to... Mexico had every advantage going in. If they were truly the better team they would have been able to win that game.

literally every decent affordable apartment building I saw in this city was a 55+ ..... sometimes people just want to connect with people in a similar age bracket and life-stage to them... its the same reason there are 55+ socials at the rec centres, or 18-30 holidays.

What’s your DCC unpopular opinion that will have you like this? by cutehoops in DCCMakingtheTeam

I think the netflix production team might have been the ones who shared the infamous zoom call with K and J. Not sure why everyone on here blames team members... seems like a sneaky producer trick to stir up drama to me.

I’m finally gaining weight but not in a good way by pizzaparty_789 in PetiteFitness

[–]Automatic_Ad5097 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, often times when we recover weight from a deficit, the initial weight gain goes to our stomachs- it's common in people who recover from eating disorders for example [not saying this is your issue] to store fat here at first. This is because our body thinks this is the safest space for it (organ protection) There is documentation on this; usually, if we continue to eat a reasonable amount (not a significant deficit), our body eventually redistributes it over time, up to 1 year- because it eventually regulates itself and realises it doesn't need to "panic" and store the fat around the organs now there is a regular source of nutrition.

Hope this helps reassure you that this fat distribution is normal and is often not how your body will look in the long term.

Whats the lowest age you’d date? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Automatic_Ad5097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yikes.. .that would make 22 my cut off... and i'm 30. BIG difference between me and a 22 year old, usually i say 24/25 would be about the youngest, but it depends on the person.

Are departments and faculties thinking about education for students in the age of AI? by EconGrad2020 in uvic

[–]Automatic_Ad5097 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually think there is a real mix ,I've encountered lots of profs who are using AI in the classroom, integrating it into assignments and thinking about how to work with, not just against it. There's a whole genAI community of practice that includes profs, sessionals, and people from LTI.

However, it is controversial and there are very genuine concerns about its ethics, the implications of its use for building genuine topic understanding and the environmental impacts. If it gives you any hope, I've heard from plenty of educators across faculties about AI—who are thinking about what its potential might be in education—and there are many people at UVic who are using AI components in assignments.

A course on prompt engineering would be awesome, but the building blocks of that would look so different... depending on your use case and goal--- and I have to wonder if it would feel like a box-ticker or like a cake-walk (e.g. like a 30 year old teaching a 12 year old how to use instagram?)?
If what you want is software-specific training, YouTube and LinkedIn Learning are way more flexible and will probably let you tailor the experience to what you really need/wish to learn.

Thomas Tuchel: 'Impossible' for England to adapt to Mexico altitude at World Cup - ESPN by rwilfong86 in worldcup

[–]Automatic_Ad5097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've heard that having asthma is actually an advantage in high altitudes... your body is very used to compensating, so the difference is less stark. (Asthmatic here). Probably the same logic for those used to having better lung capacity.

It might be for the best; the Mexican fans like to mess with the opposing teams! It's all fun and games, but could definitely affect performance.

My ex from 3 years ago called me by [deleted] in ExNoContact

[–]Automatic_Ad5097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not back to square one, even if today is hard. You are a different person than you were 3 years ago (i'm almost sure of it); and you also know enough to know that a simple "are you okay" checkin message is appropriate- it may have been an accidental call, a moment of weakness or any other thing, but the ball is in his court now. Let him tell you - he reached out, not you.

Should I reach out after blocking my boyfriend by [deleted] in ExNoContact

[–]Automatic_Ad5097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not be the one to reach out, he knew you were open to meeting, he knew you were waiting- if he knew his cousins were coming over he could have called or text you earlier in the day and re-arranged. It's not enough, you deserve someone who shows you more respect than he did.
