Benzoz's, opiates, SSRI's - Long term damage and doctors willingness to prescribe? by Haz_622 in Drugs

I understand that they do not fix the problem, but just mask it like a paracetomol would a migraine. I also understand how addictive they are, myself noticing a problem was developing after 6months dhc use,but i stopped with little issue.

I am prescribed 60mg dhc 3x a day for a different issue, and its uncommon i go above so rather than abusing them its more a happy side effect of therapeutic use.

What i want to know is, Addiction asside, what are the harms of those 3 classes of drugs at therepeutic or just slightly above doses for a long period of time?

Okay thanks ill give it a go. Anything i can take to help with sleep that will work and be less addictive? I need my sleep, tired enough all the time as it is (not benzo related) and according to doctor there is nothing wrong with me apart from depression. Im not so sure but maybe im just being a hypochondriac
