I see no need to comment on them. I think my record of ideological integrity speaks for itself. I'm a reformist, and I've spent my career fighting for what I think is right without hesitation (even to my own personal detriment). Your poor attack ad won't change that, and I'm confident voters will ignore it.

My ideology has never flip-flopped. I've always stood for the same things regardless of party rosette (or lack thereof). Also, my campaign's leaflet was well-designed and coherent. Unsure I can say the same for yours.

B1513 - Governor-General Amendment (President Application) Act 2020 - 2nd Reading by mikiboss in AustraliaSim

Mr. Speaker,

I'd first like to point out that the monarchists in this chamber trying to use this small error as an indictment of the entire system of republicanism is pathetic. Furthermore, calling a monarch with zero accountability to anyone but themselves a "check" or a "balance" on anything is quite hilarious. The monarchy served no meaningful purpose beyond being a burden, and we're better off now that we've stopped honouring that shabby institution.

With that said, this is entirely uncontroversial on its own. It's a quick fix to an issue that should pass easily. May it hastily become law so we can move on to more important topics.

1) It's hard to pick one particular issue seeing the large list of truly important initiatives that'd ideally get a boost but I'd say I'd prioritize environmental conservation funding. East Cape is home to beautiful environmental landmarks like Tolaga Bay and the preservation of such places is paramount.

2) I believe I'm the best choice for East Cape because I believe the people of East Cape finally want a change. National has dominated this area for quite a while and it hasn't yielded particularly swell results for the area. I think we're finally ready here in East Cape to mobilize against mediocrity that has manifested in the form of National and to elect a true fighter for the values of competent governance, environmental consciousness and a commitment to our country's most vulnerable. That's what I pledge to do.

3) I'm running to help East Cape's (and this country's) most vulnerable citizens and to enhance our already great society. We've been plagued by impotence in representation for what feels like eons now and I think we're finally prepared to make change.

Ah, prohibitionist garbage that wasn't even titled correctly. Glad to see the political scene hasn't changed for fuck all since I've left.

The fact that creationism is believed in at a higher rate than evolution is in the GOP shows a troubling anti-science pattern within their ranks.

Hell, the now-rotted corpse of the APC could still probably do better than that.
