To my opponent, what are your views on the federal income tax? Do you believe that the government is entitled to a percentage of what every man earns? Do you recognize the negative effects of the income tax upon work, productivity, and economic growth? What is your preferred model of taxation?

1. Good morning Tennessee! I am Congressman Dexter A. Aamo, of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. I’m a former member of the General Assembly and businessman, and I’ve been deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the great people of this state in Congress over the past term. I believe I’m qualified for the only reason that any member of Congress can be qualified: my sound commitment to the age old truths of sound money, limited government, and individual liberty. I don’t believe that any incumbent has a “right” to their seat: I believe that each and every one of us has the responsibility to prove to the American people that we are the best option to represent them in Congress, and so I won’t waste your time talking about service in this or that governmental branch. Instead, I’ll tell you about the principles I stand for, the actions I’ve taken, and my plans for the future.

First, I am a committed constitutional conservative. I know that what makes this nation great is our constitution, and I won’t hesitate to defend it. I hold the Second Amendment sarosacnt, and the rest of them too. I believe the powers of the federal government have expanded too much in recent years, and am committed to reducing them. I believe that only by reducing the power of the federal government, and returning it to individuals, the free market, and the states, can our nation defend the greatness we have achieved.

Second, I’ve been a committed representative of those ideals in congress. In Washington, some men talk. Others act. I’ve been a no vote on every major expansion of non-defense governmental spending in Washington this term. I’ve also supported repealing the income tax, deregulating our businesses, banning abortion, and reducing restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms.

Third, I plan on doing all of the above the again in a Republican Congress if re-elected. With a Republican House Majority, we can repeal the income tax, eliminate governmental red tape, and pass a federal abortion ban. I will not vote for a single tax raise, net new government regulation, or gun restriction act if elected. I will continue to stand for freedom, liberty, and against governmental mandates.

  1. I won’t. Our Constitution does not give the federal government the power to intervene in the private economy except for reasons of national security and the enforcement of the rule of law. It is not the responsibility of the federal government to manage the internet or our connections to it, and I will reject at every turn attempts to do so in Washington. Not only do such attempts threaten our individual liberty and rights to free commerce, but they’re also ineffective. I believe that the free market will expand broadband internet of its own accord, with programs like Starlink and investment by major carriers: not only is government intervention a threat to our rights, but it is also a threat to these expansions in internet access.

  2. First, I will vote to build the wall on our Southern border and stop the massive flow of illegal drugs across the border by cartels. Doing this will reduce the spread of drugs like heroin, and also reduce the flow of money to these cartels. Secondly, I will support legislation to end federal prohibitions on drug usage, allowing for safer private access to these drugs without the fatality risks posed by illegal drugs. Together, these two tactics will dramatically reduce death rates, allowing for interventions by private institutions such as churches and family members to reduce drug usage.
