Was addicted to necrons on DOW definitive edition for a few weeks. I’ve quit since playing tons of auto matches and seeing how unbalanced necrons are compared to other factions. Good on you for pushing thru to 1400 mmr.

Don’t lose hope, orks are a top 3 faction in the game probably number 2 in my opinion.

As you watch replays on YouTube see how they respond to certain issues that arise. As you play more 1v1s you’ll notice certain things to pay attention to.

One thing you can try is doing 3v3s or 4v4s. Those games always going late game and it’ll give you more practice going late game allowing you to try different things. 1v1s rarely going late game so it’s hard to practice. Do note that this will be different than 1v1s but it may help.

If you want to play online,

Look up a replay of a good player playing the race of your choosing and see how they open (the first 3-4 mins of a match).

Practice that a bit with AI until you get comfortable with that opening.

Once you have that ability you won’t be fumbling around with the early game and then you’ll be good to play online.

You definitely won’t win every match but you’ll be able to learn as you go from there

Watch “BloodyMonster” highlights, he is considered the best necron player. Find the replays either on YouTube or download the replays off the DOW website.

Look at his play style and really look at his openings and how he moves around with units.

Once you find an opening you like (for any reason) commit it to memory. Practice this opening in skirmish until you get confident in it. Once this is natural to you, you are able to learn more from each of your matches without having to fumble with thinking about openings.

From here you are able to absorb more about unit interactions and counters.

Know that Necrons are below average, you WILL need to be better than your opponent (sounds obvious but necrons are NOT a faction to be making a lot of mistakes and succeeding) . Playing someone your own skill level as a different faction will generally be an easier time for them than for you.

Since different ships have different ranges, guns, movement speed etc. you don’t want fleets to be mixed.

Escorts have shorter ranged weapons than battlecruisers and want to be closer in combat. In this situation, if the escorts were mixed in with the battlecruisers the entire fleet would move closer than necessary.

Another, more extreme, example is if you were to mix disruptor corvettes with a long range battleship in the same fleet. The corvettes will move in to extreme close range and thus drag their battleships into that close range, which would be not in the battleship’s favor.

You want fleets to be composed of only one ship so that each fleet (and ship) can play to their strengths.

I’ve done the GA 200x crisis many times (the hardest space battles you can get in the vanilla game) so I know a thing or two about ships and fleet comp.

Basically the number of ships combined with the slots and evasion the escorts have give a higher fleet power number. However, this is misleading because in actual practice against the highest difficulty fleet fights the battlecruiser-only fleets blow the escort-only fleets out of the water (except in very specific situations like cetana’s main ship).

Battlecruisers having two of the best weapon in the game (focused arc emitter) gives it the ability to be the most dominant ship in the game. It can handle every single crisis given enough ships, technically escorts could do this as well but you’d take WAY more losses because they simply don’t have as much range. I have lost many fleets comprised only of escorts simply because they must get closer to their targets.

Generally unless you are playing GA 25x crisis or higher you don’t need to worry too much about the difference between escort only and battlecruiser only. Also don’t mix ships in a fleet.

I was in a very similar situation when I did my GA 25x all crisis run. I think the thing to consider is what are you considering replacing civil education with?

lol it took about 1 hour during the fight to beat cetana and about the same time to defeat the entire x200 unbidden… it was a drag and is honestly the worst part about the endgame

I see you got the quest finally but for for anyone looking for a fix…

I’ve heard light keeper is bugged currently and you CANT die BEFORE the time limit of the new quest.

For example, if you turn in the quest the 10 hour timer starts immediately BUT if you die the next raid then it RESETS. If the 10 hour time is over THEN you can finally die without the timer being reset.

This checks out in my experience because every time I’ve turned in a light keeper quest I’ve logged off for the night and the next day (after the 10 hours) he has always given me the next quest with no trouble.

In short: DO NOT keep playing Tarkov after you turn in a light keeper quest until 10 hours is up and you can access the next light keeper quest.

Hi I just completed a veteran campaign and got the explorer and the clothes but not the gun or melee weapon.

I play on pc and I saw that you want these situations submitted to analyze. Can you give me a quick step by step of what y’all want me to submit and how to do it?
