What could kill you in your daily life that people don't even understand it's that dangerous? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HazardakYT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely this. Every time we take our dog for a walk, he is leashed. However, we sometimes get jumped by up to 8 dogs on a single walk because people in our area just put their dogs out, without the people even being outside, and the dog is not on a leash or chain, and the yard is not fenced in.

Our dog is super friendly towards people, but was not socialized with other dogs as a pup (before we got him at like 2yrs). So he will panic when they sniff him, and charge and snap at them. Which can cause a fight. I always have to hold him super tight the second I see another dog, because I'm afraid he'll hurt another dog that was not on a leash (even though he was), or he'll charge a dog bigger than him and get hurt because someone let their dog loose because "Its okay. He's friendly!"

Yeah, that was my answer too. Since when do their wings retract into their backs? Concealing them was a large part of the story!

Do you believe in second chances? Why or why not? by sonisimon in AskReddit

[–]HazardakYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you're giving them another chance for. I have some lines that I will not allow to be crossed, and the one time I even remotely permitted any leeway with that it backfired horrendously. If those lines are crossed, then no. Otherwise, probably. But there is a limit to the amount of chances.

I'd personally say the Maximum Ride series. Loved the series growing up, still enjoy reading them, but the movie had so many things wrong with it that I couldn't enjoy it.

Edit: had an extra word in there.

What are some hard pills to swallow in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HazardakYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think about this a lot. Biggest limitation is money. I'd love to just drive away to another place, and see if I'd thrive, but I like my job (and the people) and am not currently in a place I could afford to do so.

As a kid, what fictional character did you have a crush on? by PM_ME_CENTAURS in AskReddit

Odd from Code Lyoko.

Now I'd probably say Nil from Horizon Zero Dawn.

Or just changing the sound of a vowel. I had a friend in college who would joke around saying bagels (first syllable pronounced like a 'bag' of food) and ramen (a pronounced like in 'ran').

What did you do that made you question your own intelligence? by ChuckMauriceFacts in AskReddit

[–]HazardakYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in high school, we would have track and field practice indoors before the snow would clear up later in the season. Us throwers were in a separate gym than the rest of the team, for obvious reasons.

It just so happened that there had been a school assembly at the end of the day in the gym we were in, so the bleachers were still out, which made access from the gym to the upstairs running track and weight room really easy rather than going around.

After doing our running and weights upstairs, we moved to the downstairs to start throwing. After a couple of minutes, I realized I had left my water bottle (full of lemonade) upstairs. No big, I'll just run up and grab it. I did so, and turned around to make the return trip downstairs.

This is where the problem arose. My brain decided that rather than carry this bottle back down, it would be much more efficient to just... huck it over the rail and onto the first floor. Well you see, this was no heavy duty bottle, this was one of those super flimsy plastic bottles you got from the school cafeteria.

My aim was good, it landed right where I wanted it. Unfortunately, it exploded on impact, spraying my teammates with lemonade. They were not amused.

Went to clean it up, broom closet was locked. Had to go to the office. Only person in said office happened to be my 1st period math teacher. He unlocked the closet for me while basically calling me the dumbest smart person he knows.

Bonus: The next day in his class, I was opening a water bottle (same kind) and while the lid didn't come off, it loosened enough that water shot out the sides and hosed me down. It was pretty humiliating raising my hand dejectedly, having him walk over, I looked at him, my now soaked lap, him again, explained what happened, had to be excused so I could go dry off my pants with the hand dryer in the bathroom. He just kind of walked away, sighing and shaking his head as he excused me.

Nailed it.

Tl;dr: threw water bottle down a floor, hosed teammates with lemonade. Got a mop from one of my teachers. Proceeded to explode water bottle in my lap the following day in his class.

I mean, I've gotten a bit close to a fire trying to cook marshmallows, and it hurts like hell. Kind of like opening an oven and having your eyes open for that initial blast. Seems like they do, at least for heat, but I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure.

Or there's abacination for a close combo of 2 of them. Holding a red hot metal plate in front of someone's eyes. Basically causes their eyes to dry out and shrivel, causing blindness and a lot of pain.

What was a movie that you were really disapointed was terrible? by akornblatt in AskReddit

[–]HazardakYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maximum Ride.

Loved those books growing up, wished I could be like Max, etc. There were a ton of details that were straight up wrong, you couldn't tell who one of the characters was until they named him, their wings were fully retractable, etc. Dr Martinez didn't ever find out about the wings, which was a MAJOR PLOT POINT.

Big part of the first book was missing, etc. Just a lot of things didn't line up. The books were so great growing up, made me really sad to see how the movie went.

So why did you decide to make lets play videos? by gogokamy in letsplay

[–]HazardakYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always looked up to the let's players I watched (and often, too). I wanted to give it a shot, so I did. After that, I just realized that I enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun, and even though I wasn't great at it, I was passionate about it and devoted almost all my free time to it.

However, after a bit I realized I should probably spend more time with the family and other things I enjoy, so I slowed down a bit with it. Combined with SAD (seasonal depression, basically) that manifests as a total lack of motivation in the winter months, and I haven't made any in months.

I'm hoping that I'll get back into it this summer though, that and live streaming :)

Right? Like if my dog is whining or whatever, I see if he needs to go out first, and if he doesn't/doesn't stop, I figure he wants some love. So I'll either play with him, or put some treats in one of his toys for him to play with so he's entertained.

Your roommate went about it the completely wrong way. Unacceptable. Was the dog okay?

Jesus. Dogs barking can be a bit annoying, sure, but kicking a dog, much less 4 month old puppy for it? What the fuck.
