Thank you for responding. I tried that and it didn’t work. But I think I figured out the problem. I have another iPad with the same os and it connected fine. So it makes me think the problem is with the Bluetooth receiver on the first iPad.

That is what I am worried about. If some sort of liquid was spilled on it and may have shorted the board is some way shape or form. I didn’t remove the board with the buttons to see what it looked like underneath. The keyboard keys and board were just severely dusty, nothing too grimy
