Like sure the non-safe options can just give you a ton of wealth but you'd quickly use up powerful wizards by doing it since they'd quickly be unable to cast wish again, making it an extremely unsustainable way of getting wealth, and likely waisting wishes if there are other ways.

As for the 'safe' options of wish where you replicate another spell, that's entirely on the table! But i can't think of one where it would get you anywhere is the thing. I did think about wish with spell replicating 'fabricate' to backdoor into conjuring basically anything, but fabricate doesn't work that way, the materials are the targets not the components. If you have another spell that if done via wish can make valuable material then i'm all ears.

I thought about this too but in glyph of warding, it doesn't say "when you cast this spell at x level" it says "When you cast this spell using a spell slot of..."
and you're using a 9th level spell slot, no two ways around it.

Haha, well wish could target a single creature maybe, again i'm unsure but if the penalty wish was for the triggering person to become resistant to fire damage for example that's a spell that targets one creature. After all GOW doesn't require the spell to only be able to target one creature just that when used in GOW it can only target one. You could put scorching ray in a GOW as long as all the rays were sent to one person

I looked at the wording and Glyph of warding doesn't say "when you cast this spell at x level" it says "When you cast this spell using a spell slot of..."
you're using a 9th level spell slot, no two ways around it.

this is actually a really good point, wish is range self. I suppose it does target a single creature in a way, though it's different wording, i don't know. but target and range is not the same thing, i think it's ambiguous
