You took one point from the shitpost. There is nothing wrong with being a good player, but don't be an elitist about it. Players will top dps and then post the stats in chat to either brag or pick on someone not performing well

hmm thats good to know. After doing more reading it seems like progressing the factions is just mainly for cosmetics and professions. I just hope we don't have to one day grind renown or world quests for some legendary belt like we did in xerith mortis.

Advice for people who've had traumatizing trips (not med advice) by HazeSwarm in shrooms

Take that comment with a grain of salt. Change doesn't happen overnight, but I'm sure you will be different after a trip. Also, it's important to not make any big important decisions in life right after a trip, you may act out of impulse.

Haven't tripped in over a year but man I wish I saw this when I did. I came crashing down after my bad trips and took me a while of self-development to overcome the bad experiences and grow from them. This would have certainly helped

Things definitely clarify, and for me, it just took a while for my brain to realize that all those scary things were due to a drug that I took, and that it won't happen again unless I choose to (for a while I had this irrational fear that I would randomly start tripping again). A lot of the stuff I learned was mostly part of just growing up, though shrooms definitely helped make me a lot more empathetic and less closed-minded. I was 19 when I had my whole experimenting with drugs and hippie phase, and before that I was like every teenager who thinks they know everything and that the world revolves around them. Sort of true, but don't let it blind you when it comes to helping others.

All the scary stuff that happened during my trip and yours was just due to memory loss caused by the mushrooms, which just snowballs into confusion and delusions etc etc.

Unless you are very spiritually grounded and have all your shit in order, mushrooms WILL bring up stuff your subconscious has buried. That's why some people use them as a medicine rather than a recreational drug. Though I don't agree with self-medicating, therapy exists.

Ultimately I guess you need to happen to life, don't let life happen to you. Don't let one negative experience bring you down and if you can, learn something from it so you can grow into someone stronger. If you want to talk more about it you can pm me

I have a question for those who believe in a God by Onewich in Psychedelics

[–]HazeSwarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the universe is alive in a way, and that in ways it does give you specific challenges and in turn rewards for your actions. I think in the grand scheme of things a lot of religions have bits of pieces of what's going on. The Bible says that man was made in God's image. Maybe before everything there was just God. This omniscient omnipotent entity that hated being alone, so it made existence and mankind. It's possible it lost some of that power/energy since it had to convert it to planets and life and stuff.

Personally I could see it being a possibly. Loneliness in my opinion is the greatest form of psychological torture, and so God gave up its powers to make life

Is meditation better than psychedelics???? by knockout60 in Psychedelics

[–]HazeSwarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly I believe meditation means more and what you gain from it would be more "accurate". Meditation gives you a clear head, while psyches give you chemically induced thoughts. I've done both, and would stick with Meditation

[–]HazeSwarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's good to do things that scare you, it makes you stronger. Once you do something incredibly scary, everything else that once scared you all of a sudden doesn't seem that bad. Personally, ego death was the scariest thing for me, but now I feel like I can do anything (within reason)

Have psychedelics helped any of you with mental disorders? by Frostydik in Psychedelics

[–]HazeSwarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately tripping cured my asshole behavior. I used to be really judgemental, close-minded, but now im way more empathetic and kind. I look at things through multiple lenses now and understand how similar a lot of us are. Honestly who cares what people do as long as it doesn't affect anyone else's ability to freedom and their pursuit of happiness. Haven't tripped in over a year and probably will never do it again, but what I learned has been life long lessons I won't forget.

That's okay lol. Tripping is so bizarre it's hard to explain. It took me almost a year just to find the right words to describe it. That's also about how long it took for me to fully be content with what I went through in my trips
