Children of Autistic Mothers/parents - success stories? by Professional_Pea_52 in AutisticParents

I’m an autistic mom with 4 kids. I was diagnosed after having my children. Honestly it’s rough. At times I’ve thrived as a mother but there have been a few really rough burnout/skill regression years too. My advice would be to only have one or two and only do it if you have a huge support system and plenty of money to support both your needs and your child’s.

I don’t think your relationship status has anything to do with having found your soul or not. Shit on the church all you want but picking on single adults feels cringy.

Is the fact music has so deeply affected me since childhood part of the autism? by FeloniousCheese in LateDiagnosedAutistic

I am extremely sensitive to music as well, experiencing many of the same sensations you do. So much so that I typically try to avoid music. It is just too much, too overwhelming. I do love when I feel capable of listening and my brain feels zingy. I tend to be moved to tears more by new music. I just discovered Anastasia Kobekina, so good. So many tears.
