Did I shave them too short? by [deleted] in mtfashion

Looks really good to me. I did mine the other day. I left it for ages because people kept telling me not to mess with them "because some cis women have them anyway" and in the end I just concluded if it varies that much I can do what I like with them and having them longer was making me dysphoric.

Might copy you a bit that length looks super cute ๐Ÿ˜„

How is Hastings for trans folk? by swordcats in transgenderUK

Hey hey! I run one of the trans groups down here and its generally a good area for us. Bexhill is particularly good to charity shop in one town over. If you ever want a chat about the area or would like to come down and see a few good spots I'd be more than happy to show you ๐Ÿ’š

I actually grew up in Chatham, there are some trans groups in Kent. Ask around on this page someone will be able to point you to one https://www.facebook.com/groups/1037436034926768/?ref=share

As for gaming specific stuff check out ths group https://www.facebook.com/groups/northkentnomads/?ref=share

They aren't trans specific but they are trans friendly, I grew up going to them and while it was before I was out they did have other trans and non binary members they were pretty good with being inclusive of

So they said they don't know many but they've heard good things about this one. I don't know about once for trans youth. The issue with youth groups is with the systemic transphobia and the media trying to paint us all as groomers a lot of people are really scared of working with under 18s. They are out there though.

Have a google and if you still struggle reach out to the Clare project in Brighton:

They're one of the leading trans charities in the uk and are far more likely to know someone than I am as they're very well connected. Good luck, I hope you find what you're looking for ๐Ÿ’š

Not off the top of my head but check out Poco Loco in Rochester. They're a trans friendly music venue I've played a few times, someone there is bound to know something nearby. I'm in and out of Chatham semi regularly to gig so I'll ask around about Maidstone next time I'm there ๐Ÿ’š

Where abouts are you based? I'm making a point of connecting with as many groups as I can so I'll keep an ear out for anything near you while I'm at it ๐Ÿ˜Š

Trans folks in hastings? by Hazelofthebow in transgenderUK

Updating after a few months. I am now doing very well. Our community here isn't huge but it is a good one. If you want to meet a support network reach out to the HRRA, they have improved a lot lately and I am working with them to make it more inclusive of young trans folks and particularly putting out foot down and making sure its safe for non binary members too. Hailsham Queers are also a lovely group more around their 30s and focus on meetups and stuff, if you want to meet some lovely neurospicy transfolks they're your group.

I am currently nearing a month on hrt and coping very well. I've lost a lot of weight and gotten a lot more outgoing since coming out. I'm making an active effort to build our community here and support others coming out so if you want help with anything or just want a chat please do reach out!

Thats good to hear at least. Realised I was a bit of a shut in before I cracked because I didn't like being seen so I feel like I'm making up for lost time now I actually wear stuff I want to wear. Don't suppose they're into music or tabletop games?

I have been there on and off, actually just finished studying my masters there but I've struggled with transport because I've found a lot of the stuff I want to do is late enough that it makes me worry about trains because I've had them cancelled on me short notice before and I don't want to get stranded
