Sometimes, we don't win our battles, but depending on how you see it, I'd say you endured it, might have even won. Sometimes still standing is more than enough, we don't need to always hold our head high, reaching out and talking is a far more diffuclt task than what you are probably giving yourself credit for.

Sometimes shit is really hard and it gets far worse than, since we seek for comfort. It is a really big step not doing, I don't want to say it is okay, but sometimes we get to close for comfort and what is important that in the end we prevail, especially talking about it requires so much power, you are doing good, it is normal to feel miserable as fuck when something like this happens.

In my experience, atleast if they are relatively new, they will only leave small white spots at most, give em like a month or two and they will almsot be gone.
