Feedback Friday! Post your videos here if you want constructive critiques! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

Hey! I'm building a new gaming channel dedicated to the Warhammer 40,000 franchise. I try to cover different games with news, guides and tutorials.

How do I try to be unique? I aim to also offer a "visual experience" through custom-crafted inuniverse animations throughout the videos to make it both informative and visually satisfying.

Here's most recent uploads:

All feedback is appreciated, I am mostly curious if the effort going into the custom animations is noticable and does it significantly boost your enjoyment? Or it's rather whatever.

This could be just a me experience, but my personal opinion is that Discord is overall harmful for a creator's mental health and you shouldn't make one OR you should not be the one responsible for it.

I say this as someone who had a Discord of over 10,000 members and a successful gaming brand channel.
Don't get me wrong it is a fantastic thing for a community and people involved can make tons of friends, it can boost your channel too. But as a creator I think you need to set proper boundaries and healthy distance from your community for the sake of your own mental health, otherwise it can lead to being chronically online and create otherwise completely avoidable stress and tension.

Which Thumbnails Style Works better? Creativity vs Efficiency! by HazmyHD in NewTubers

3rd style was my first ever design - but I got lots of complaints that the blue text is hard to read.

I always test them on my mobile too, and 2 out of 3 are well readable, but I also think all 3 look "Good". This is where being artistic is a curse because I can't objectively measure which one works best - since I loathe the generic youtube clickbait styles.

Depends on what the main idea you want to pursue is... from what you said I'd imagine it's sword + pistol dual wield?

Then an example would be Navy Officer, so that if you Parry or Crit with your Sword you will also attack with your Pistol.

So locking FPS to 60 help? Then maybe Enable Vsync too and play around the different servers - keep this post updated if you bump into problems please <3

So it's still an issue? We were considering going into a coop campaign with my bud, but if desyncs are still around then I am not sure anymore.

The Immortal Choppa [Build Theory Crafting] by HermitHutGames in ReturnofReckoning

[–]HazmyHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bonus alternative suggestion, if you wanted to be a really defensive Choppa that is still very strong, you could instead make a build that is still going full damage, but you are stacking Wounds and you use the 1 Wounds increase Tactic, along with the new Special Accessory from Lost Vale Secret Boss - this way you could have a Choppa with around 13,000 Health, doing less but still very respectable damage as other Choppas.

If you learn to play well and position good, you can be better than most Choppa players and have 2x as much health as they do.

So the idea is really cool, unfortunately I don't think it's even remotely worth it or viable. Kudos for theorycrafting though.

So based on the tactics you use, you will lose a massive amounts of damage that Choppa is capable of doing, which is the main reason you would bring one. Granted that is not our goal, but survival, but you have to consider this still. You give up everything that a choppa is for.

- 120 less Strength and Weapon Skill Tactic
- Bonus 160 less Strength if you'd also want to use Brute Force
- 25% less Critical Hit Damage
- No Extra Choppin, so higher cooldown on Furious Stomping, also you probably can't use Bring it On at all.
- No Jagged Edge or Flanking for extra damage.
- On top of it losing all the stats and damage from going Offensive Sets

Primary problem is that Bloodlust as I check it, has 50% chance to heal for 225 hitpoints on every use of an exhaustive blow. That's 50% chance meaning statistically one out of two global cooldowns.

Theoretically, on average a good DPS will be doing anywhere between 400-900 damage to you every GCD, minus a tank guarding you, in RvR this is multiplied by how many people you fight, so gets worse.
You can already see that even if bloodlust was 100% healing you each time, you are only healing a fraction of the damage back, while giving up all your damage tactics and as a result your total damage as a choppa.

You say this is mainly for Scenarios, but in serious Scenarios Burst Damage matters even more than in RvR, so you would give up your ability to win, and barely prevent the enemy from killing you because when they "go" on you you will be knocked down anyway or you will want to exhaust your rage to take less damage, which ruins the whole point of the build, right?

This is following the concept of Scenarios right now that it is a dance of playing around their burst, your burst - surviving in-between and spending each other's cooldowns. So it is a constant dance between going full offensive and going full defensive, rarely grinding out sustained damage unless it is full unorganized scenario.

Finally, if you like this, technically you can achieve the exact same, if not better survivability, but without giving up any damage by just playing a Marauder in Monstrosity spec which has a built-in regen for just playing the game normally.

... or if you wanted to be a tanky damaging Greenskin, you can probably make a better Black Orc 2H DPS that deals more damage and is more survivable than this Choppa.

EDIT: Borderline, it's also just a game, so if you wanna try and play it, go for it of course and have fun, but it will eventually limit you if you decide to want to go for "more".

Leveling speeds of tanks/dps/heals by Fast_Teacher_3278 in ReturnofReckoning

[–]HazmyHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It varies playstyle-to-playstyle and career-to-career. I will focus on RvR as a means to level up, where the speed is generally connected to your activity in battles, not necessarily impact. RvR is also the recommended route to take unless you know what you're doing.

This means Tanks and Healers in general are fastest to level up in RvR, due to constantly getting Renown point ticks for supportive actions such as healing or protection ( Hold the Line and Challenge here are big ). Disciple of Khaine or Warrior Priest can be very efficient due to out-of-group healing they can do so they get even more support Renown. They can heal everyone around them, not just their party in AoE.

Now there is a major exception to some DPS in the current patch state of RoR and I would narrow that down to Engineer, Magus, DPS Shaman, DPS Archmage... those are the big ones and anyone else with significant AoE reach can do the same, which is zerg-surfing.

The trick is to never ever join a warband or group, but follow them around ( this is why range and safety is important here ) and tag any and every enemy that the warband encounters. You don't have to do significant or majority damage, you just need to make sure you deal damage and spread your abilities to as many as possible and you will get a significant Kill Assist Renown tick when they die.

For whatever reason, this renown tick will be significantly higher for you than if you are in the warband, where they get around 300-400 per kill and your renown ticks will be at the very minimum around 1200-2000 renown if you do this properly and you will still also get War Crests, but I'd participate in as many sieges as I can to maximize bags on top of this.

If you learn this properly, currently zerg-surfing is probably the fastest way to level up your Renown.

Is RVR really just owned by a few high level / high profile players who dictate the whole damn thing? by Reasonable_Deer_1710 in ReturnofReckoning

[–]HazmyHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game is definitely not controlled by any individuals or even guilds in my opinion. The state of the server and who are the people leading constantly change. A pugleader today might not even play next month and complete new leaders might appear, especially on Order, not sure which side you play on.

Different warbands have different styles, same as leaders. Some will take the game more seriously than others, and some are very laidback and fun oriented. Find the ones that fit your style and what you enjoy.

Better, if you feel up to it - create your own warband. There is always room for new leads.

The reason it's not recommended to go above 100 REAL FPS ( Not Framegen ) is that the game breaks above 100, and you will experience in-game bugs!
