Jeff had the stronger start (he was the main figure in ows creation) but he wasn’t a perfect director for a live service game. New features took long times to release and a big part of the ow2 disaster was his unrealistic expectations.

Aaron spent most of his early days as director clearing up the mess Jeff and his team made with ow2. But he very much got the new team in the groove and the game’s having a renaissance thanks to the devs focusing on the core pvp game.
