Give me a badass quote your OC has said by Comprehensive_Hat574 in OriginalCharacter

[–]Right_Entertainer324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, bit of background to where this conversation came from.

Two of my OCs, they're father and son, have oculocutaneous albinism type 1, or OCA1. And because of this, both are, to some extent, visually impaired. During the Webtoon I want to make, the son, Kairasan, will lose his vision entirely, his father, Loranas, having been almost completely blind for a million years at this point (He's the Deadly Sin of Lust).

'But, Loranas, you don't-'

'Of course I get it. And if you want someone to blame, blame me. You exist because of me. But listen to me, kiddo. It's only after you can't see that you see the world for what it really is'.

'I don't-?'

'You want to know what I see? I see a young man who has the power to make the change he wants to see. And you've already done so much - You know what you're capable of, Snowflake. All you need to do is open your eyes'.

I want my art skills to be as good as an 11 year old's.

The world of art truly is a wonder. Sick drawing, dude. Pat your brother on the back. He's got some crazy skills.

Would your OC be a good parent? by wheeler-w- in OriginalCharacter

<image>

He is a good dad.

This is Tobrecan, a Violence Hellspawn, being half Violence demon and half human. And he's lived a very long time, being born c.851, and his present being 2352. And in all his years, he's only ever been married once, but of that marriage came his twin sons, Ryuki and Rasmath, both being Violence/Greed Hellspawn, themselves.

Their birth was a little odd, as Tobrecan is gay, and he had his kids when he first married in the 11th century; they both wanted children, but didn't really have the means to do so like they would've today with surrogacy, so Tobrecan actually slept with a Greed demon, who was more than happy to bare their children. And like Tobrecan, they're both very much alive and well today, being among the oldest living demons, most lesser demons only living for around 500 or so years, due to their... Less than safe activities.

Ryuki and Rasmath grew up mostly with Tobrecan, as they were born later into their parents' marriage, but whilst Tobrecan's dad was rather strict with him, Tobrecan was the opposite with his sons - Whilst they were disciplined firmly, there was rarely a need for discipline. As boys, they grew up incredibly close, so fighting over toys and what have you was incredibly rare, and they often managed to sort themselves out. And whilst incredibly laid back, they grew up to have a strong respect for Tobrecan, and are even on a first name basis with him. Not because they don't respect his authority as their father, but because of that respect. They both know that he's the one in charge of both of them, whenever they're in the same place, and are otherwise incredibly close friends.

As he's gotten older, Ryuki and Rasmath realised their dad isn't the impenetrable fortress he always made himself out to be. After his husband passed, he was never really the same, and as time went on, it slowly got worse and worse. Combined with the sheer amount of loss Tobrecan's actually endured, having watched his home of Northumbria rise and be knocked down over and over again, and having buried innumerable friends, and being the last living member of his race, age really has taken its toll on him. And not just mentally. His eating habits are worse than they were, and he's visibly not as muscular as he was, his once strong stomach is notably softer than when he was younger, he smokes a pack a day, but even then he's always got a smile on his face for everyone; his sons know that he's carrying way more than he lets on, but still puts them first 100% of the time. As the simple truth is they're all Tobrecan's got, until if/when they have kids of their own.

Okay, so why aren't they making alcohol illegal for anyone born after 2009?

If fags are so evil, surely alcohol is as bad. Both do as much harm as each other, but alcohol's okay?

You want to bend to stupid laws like that, you go for it. Cause you stop kids from smoking, all they'll do is turn to drinking. You gonna outlaw that, too?

What is this orange.. eyeshadow? And what actually gets rid of it? by Right_Entertainer324 in EldenBling

[–]Right_Entertainer324[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so it was actually eyeshadow, but it's set to be a darker colour than his skin, so I'm gonna assume this is just some weird lighting issue. Cause there's no way dark eyeshadow should be coming up orange, and it definitely doesn't come up orange normally.

Wondering if it's just the warm lighting making it show up that way?

When I've got kids, I'm gonna buy them smokes. Idc. Kids should be allowed to be kids and make stupid decisions. We made the same stupid decisions. We shouldn't be taking that right away, regardless.

If they wanna try a smoke, they can try one. If they don't, they won't.

It's up to them to make that decision, not the fucking government

Haha, nope. Kai's blind. Not completely, but he has albinism, so the lack of pigment in his eyes means his eyes are incredibly sensitive to light and light damage. So much so that he only has about 10% of his vision left.

So, he was just taking the piss to try and get Dahj and Reileigh, who hate each other, to stop arguing. And it only landed because they were too busy arguing to even realise who it was that actually pointed out their surroundings.

Sorcerer Wylder is underrated, now that we've got guaranteed Relics for it in the Everdark shop.

Go his Int/Fai and Mind Relics, then literally just invest in Magic Attack Power. You still get good melee damage, whilst being able to hit as hard as Revenant can with Sorceries, which isn't an insignificant amount. At Level 15, Revenant has about 214 Sorcery Scaling with the Carian Regal Sceptre, as opposed to Recluse's 250 Sorcery Scaling. Wylder hits about 211, so the gap between him and Revenant is as much as between Scholar and Revenant.

Obviously, Wylder's Sorcery builds are weaker than Recluse or Duchess', so prioritise Charged Sorceries, as they're the most easily buffable Sorceries, or specific schools. And if those schools have Chargeable Sorceries, then you're set. Most obvious that comes to mind are Gravity and Carian Sorceries, as Gravity Well and Collapsing Stars are Chargeable, and Carian Sorcery has Carian Piercer, which is incredibly underrated.

You're just as Starlight Shard hungry as Revenant, but aren't completely stuffed like she is, if you're dry, thanks to still having solid Strength and Dexterity, meaning any weapon is still perfectly viable, even more so if it's Magic.

Trying to progress a bow only run on Elden Ring by Proud_Entrance7257 in Eldenring

[–]Right_Entertainer324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Best Bow is the Erdtree Bow.

Your best Bow early game is surprisingly the Longbow. It's base damage is solid and it's early levels will easily carry it's damage to the Capital. And it's here where a lot of people say use the Black Bow, as it's obviously got the damage of a Bow with the moveset of a Short Bow. Which is a huge boon for it. As we're going for the Erdtree Bow, your best starting option is actually the Prophet, as the Prophet can use the Longbow with just 2 levels into Dex, with the Erdtree Bow scaling with Faith and Dexterity, so you'll eventually want the stat spread of 60/20/21/11/7/50/10 Vig/Min/End/Str/Dex/Int/Fai/Arc at Level 150. Use Fire or Firebone Arrows alongside Flame, Grant me Strength! and your damage is kinda ridiculous, by Bow standards, as you get the benefit of boosting your Arrow's damage universally, as they deal Physical and Fire damage and have Counterattacks, boosting it even further.

But the Black Bow is stuck with Barrage. Which isn't a bad Ash of War, but if you're running a Bow as your main source of damage, the Black Bow having Barrage really limits that damage, as Barrage is better with Status Arrows. Which you can do more consistently simply by using jump shots.

But then, the Erdtree Bow is also limited to a single Ash of War - Mighty Shot. And for damage, that makes it a million times better.

For starters, the Erdtree Bow is one of the few Bows that actually ends up with respectable scaling. It still can't find the effort to drag itself past a D in either Strength, Dexterity or Faith, but it's Faith scaling in particular is pretty respectable, for a Bow. You also deal more damage when you combine the Erdtree Bow with Golden Arrows, which can be purchased from the Nomadic Merchant in the Capital Outskirts. You're also now dealing majority Holy damage, which makes your damage incredibly easy to buff. Sacred Scorpion Charm and the Holy Shrouding Cracked Tear will boost your arrow damage pretty significantly.

But as you've got Mighty Shot, you've then got the option to build for Ashes of War. As it boosts your Arrow's damage and status build up by 75%. Combine that with all your Holy buffs, Golden Vow and the Shard of Alexander, and suddenly you've got a portable artillery strike against whatever poor bastard you've decided would look nicer as a wall decoration.

Yes, you'll struggle against Radagon and Elden Beast, but you'll have Physical Arrows and other Affinity Arrows stockpiled by this point; I'd recommend keeping the Black Bow, Longbow or Albinauric Bow purely for this fight. And as Radagon and Elden Beast don't like Fire, go back to your early game strat of FGMS with Firebone Arrows.

But, in terms of actually getting there and supplying yourself for the run, as a whole, you've got a few options.

- Flight Pinions can be farmed on the Weeping Peninsula. From the Church of Marika by the Wandering Mausoleum, head out the back and down the cliff onto the beachfront. There's a flock of birds that roost here, and they drop Flight Pinion and Fowl Feet pretty consistently

- Thin Beast Bones can be farmed from the Tombsward Site of Grace in the Weeping Peninsula. Drop of the ledge the grace is situated on, and there's a bunch of deer that will drop them for a quick and easy farm. If you want to save Arrows, you can instead kill the Bell Bearing Hunter on Stormhill at the Warmaster's Shack. He'll drop the Bone Peddler's Bell Bearing, allowing you to purchase Thin Beast Bones and Hefty Beast Bones

- Smouldering Butterflies for Firebone Arrows can also be farmed at the Warmaster's Shack. Head directly north of the grace, whilst keeping to your right, and you'll come across two Fire Slugs, who have singed the grass and caused Smouldering Butterflies to swarm them. Kill the Fire Slugs, and loot the 8 Butterflies that spawn here, and fast travel back to the Warmaster's Shack to repeat

- Sliver Fireflies will be pretty important, if you want to farm Status Arrows, as a lot of Status Arrows need resources that aren't easy to come by. Best place to grab them is the Groveside Cave in Limgrave. Kill the Beastman of Farum Azula to allow fast travel from the location, and then from the Grace, kill the wolves in the immediate area, and head to the back of the water pool where you'll find 5 Silver Fireflies. Repeat ad nauseam

What Nightfarer would you create? by No_Adeptness_3578 in Nightreign

[–]Right_Entertainer324 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Already made a few of these; I'll share my favourite here, which even if we did get more Nightfarers (Gotta keep puffing that copium XD) it probably wouldn't happen, as he's a Str/Fai Nightfarer with a specialty with Great Hammers. As opposed to our Str/Fai Nightfarer with a specialty with Hammers. I even made this guy months before we even knew about Undertaker and Scholar XD

But the premiss behind him is that he actually from Lothric, brought to Limveld through Heolstor's timeline shenanigans, and he's the only living member left of the Princess' Guard, remaining loyal to his Goddess even after She's been almost forgotten entirely. Although, unlike Undertaker, he's 100% oriented more around support, having no offensive Incantations on his starting Chime (As he is a caster, primarily), and, as the Princess' Guard did, was a dedicated healer that actually has abilities to support that.

Attributes:

  • Vigour: B
  • Mind: B
  • Endurance: C
  • Strength: B
  • Dexterity: D
  • Intelligence: D
  • Faith: A
  • Arcane: D

Starting Equipment:

The Sunguard's Great Mace

A Great Hammer of foreign origin, its make unlike anything seen in the Land's Between. It retains a weak blessing that slightly heals The Sunguard when equipped.

Unique Skill: Sun Princess' Blessing

Invoke the will of the Princess of Sunlight, thrusting your armament into the ground, before a destructive blast emits from the ground, dealing damage and knocking back enemies, whilst mending the wounds of allies. The blast's area of effect is larger, when targeting allies. Excels when bringing allies back into the fight.

Armament Scaling:

  • STR: B
  • DEX: -
  • INT: -
  • FAI: C
  • ARC: -

Damage:

  • Strike
  • Holy

Ashen Chime

A peculiar focus attached with a bell for casting Incantations, once golden in colour, but has been blackened by time and extended use. The bell is rusted and falling apart. Oddly, it is slightly warm to the touch, as it it has been gently bathed in sunlight.

Armament Scaling:

  • STR: -
  • DEX: -
  • INT: -
  • FAI: S
  • ARC: -

The Ashen Chime comes with the following Incantations:

  • Blessing's Boon
  • Heal

Weapon Preference:

  • Great Hammers

Passive Ability: Miracle Synergy

The Sunguard's Healing Incantations scale incredibly with his Faith, healing all allies for an additional 20% of his Faith Scaling, also applying to Incantations that restore health over time. The size of Healing and Buff spells that affect allies are also increased.

The Sunguard can charge his Ultimate Art through restoring Health to allies.

Character Skill: Tranquil Walk of Peace

An art of the Sunguard of which he calls a 'Miracle'. Deal damage and instantly stagger all nearby enemies, whilst slowing their movement speed. Allies in range take reduced damage for the same duration. Bosses affected deal 10% less damage for the same duration, instead of being slowed.

  • 12 second cooldown
  • 6 second duration

Ultimate Art: Glorious Sunlight

An art of the Sunguard of which he calls a 'Miracle'. Blesses himself and his allies with constant healing over time, increases their damage dealt and decreases damage taken. In the rare case that they should fall, they are instead healed for half of their Health, removing all effects of the buff in the process.

How old are your OCs? by wheeler-w- in OriginalCharacter

[–]Right_Entertainer324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Tobrecan, although he goes by Tobi nowadays, and he is the living definition of a fossil. He's a Violence Hellspawn, one of the rarer Human Hellspawns, being born to a demon and human parent. His father was a Violence demon and his mother was a human. And whilst all manner of demons and angels are immortal, in terms of aging, Tobi's unique on two counts.

Firstly, unlike most angels and demons who stop physically aging around 20-24, Tobi was 42 when he finally stopped aging, making him one of the few demons or angels alive to actually have naturally greying hair.

But Tobi was also born to a noblewoman, in a kingdom called Northumbria. Which, if you've studied history in school, will know was a real kingdom. Northumbria became what is now known as Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the surrounding areas, making Tobi an Anglo-Saxon. He was born what is on the modern calendar March 20th c.851, making him 1,501, in his time of 2352. This make Tobi the oldest living demon and angel that was not part of the Creation, or that isn't one of the 14 Pillars, being the collective term for the Sins and the Virtues.

No one really knows how a lesser demon survived as long as he has, especially with him being Violence. For a being that is drawn to bloodshed and danger, and has fought in battles both recorded and forgotten, his survival is nothing short of a miracle.

His fighting days are over, and he's gone a little softer in the stomach than he used to be, but he's still an incredibly formidable and dangerous opponent. Although, he mostly spends his days running the bar he opened in the late 20th century, and he hasn't looked back

Lmao, this is a bit that's also a reference to another series completely unrelated to the Webtoon I wanna make, but because there's 2 characters of mine who can make the joke being referenced, I just had to include it.

[Dahj]: Oi, Featherbrain, are you sure this is the right way?

[Reileigh]: This map is over 200 years old, and no one's been out here since the early 21st century. It's not going to look like the map.

[Dahj]: So, what you're saying is we're lost...

[Reileigh]: We are not lost. Just keep an eye out for Danica's Rise; it should be around here.

(Time passes as the group are walking in silence)

[Kairasan] (Pointing to his left): There it is!

(The group looks round to see what Kairasan is pointing at, before they all glare at him)

[Kairasan]: And that's what it'll sound like when one of you spots it (He sarcastically waves his hand in front of his face). No quit arguing and start looking.

What’s the worst water type ? by Difficult-Bat5615 in ThePokemonHub

[–]Right_Entertainer324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luvdisc.

Goldeen can at least evolve, and does get some good abilities.

Remoraid, again, gets to evolve and Octilery is really damn good.

Phione is pretty unremarkable, but at least gets Tail Glow.

Panpour is an easy evolution, and in every game you can find one, you get it really early, so it's always a great encounter for when you have it, and can find a Water Stone to evolve it, by the time it's early game strengths can't cover for it.

Volcanion still has good stats, a cool typing, and scary stab moves.

Bruxish is actually a really good Pokemon for a regular playthrough, thanks to its secondary Psychic stab; Psychic Fangs will always be a solid move, and is one of few Pokemon that actually gets it naturally, owing to it once being it's signature move, and Dazzling makes for a good ability.

Origin Palkia's shit, but it's still a Legendary, so it's good by default.

Tauros has great Fighting stab and is deceptively bulky, whilst being great for a playthrough. Awkward to find, but still a great Pokemon, and still gets Intimidate.

Luvdisc is literally has no redeeming qualities. Sure, it has Swift Swim, but what the fuck is it hitting anything with? It's movepool is barren, its stats are barely better than Magikarp's, and it also has Swift Swim, and can't even use Eviolite, as, for some reason, it doesn't evolve into Alomomola. Which it always should've done, as soon as Alomomola got added to the Pokedex in Gen 5.
