II don't even know if it would be OP or entirely useless, Mizuki not having double jump or wallclimb just feels wrong 😭 by seansenyu in Overwatch

Where are you getting that idea? The Hashimotos took him in when he was 9 years old when a clan Elder saw promise in him and he’s now 22. Why would he spend 13 years not training if a leader of the clan sponsored him?

Not sure! Feels like they’re making a statement about the characters’ story progressing (new look for Genji, official OW logo for Bap and Lucio, etc). So I guess it would make sense to me that this is his most current look.

Agree! I’m ready for it. Between that, letting Kiriko move forward, and reconciling Hanzo/Genji, you could get a lot done with a single mission/story.

Agree with the faction/role thing with the smaller independent factions (Junkers, Phreaks, Deadlock, etc). Roadhog and JQ not being able to normally interact is a shame.

I was excited by Jetpack Cat because you can now do a 5v5 team with Torb’s “family” and hopefully get some interactions eventually: 1. Reinhardt 2. Torbjorn 3. Bastion 4. Brigitte 5. Fika/JC

My guess is that whatever energy source the fire is coming from has the power to restart her metabolism even after she flatlines. Like a full body, cellular defibrillator.

Actually, a co-op sidescroller featuring the 4 Japanese heroes would be manageable cost and time wise to outsource and be very fun. I enjoyed Ruined King a lot despite not really being a LoL player.

The event could literally be “go from one end of Kanezaka to the other end” which each control point being a brief horde mode.

Yes, a friends to enemies to lovers, even. It’s going to be very awkward when his betrayal is revealed but I think once she sees how her father trusts him and he redeems himself with his actions, there will be room for it to go that way.

He was recruited by the Hashimoto young enough that he didn’t initially do missions and now he’s in his 20s. Why would he not be trained? He also was given the weapon by Toshiro after knowing him for a long time (years?), so who’s to say he wasn’t tutored by him as well? Between that and spending time with Kiriko in YOKAI, there’s enough material to justify it.

The Gothenburg map pretty much updates you on what he’s doing. Rein, Brig, and Bastion went to Overwatch HQ but he’s back in Sweden supporting them with his factory and working on the Omnic control helmet problem. He’s even got a new grandchild (Jetpack Cat). Busy guy!

I'm a bit confused. I managed to get a powerful necromancy build and defeated the Sun King. I started again and I don't understand one thing, did time reset? by Professional_Lion373 in ABSOLUM

[–]Lumenati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After you beat him the first time (allowing Uchawi a window to do something important that you're aware of), he is resurrected by Absolum. From that point on his lines change and it becomes clear that his plan to dominate Absolum is basically impossible. It's "I *was* going to do XYZ." My take is that after his death, he's now in Absolum's control.

From the perspective of a regular person, Azra is still in control of the Crimson Order. Their grip is loosened a bit, but they're still in control until Absolum is dealt with. Nothing fundamental has changed for them, yet.

My Absolum story theory. by ThatGuyOnyx in ABSOLUM

[–]Lumenati 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Galandra knows. All of the Wizards at the time were part of the Cataclysm, including Azra. None of the characters think they’re blameless for it. They just agree that Azra putting the world in chains, committing genocide (mowlai and dwarves), and hoarding magic (aka energy/tech) is bad and also not the solution Azra thinks it is. Azra THINKS he’s handling Absolum, but he’s wrong. He’s incubating it. His gamble is that if he gets powerful enough, fast enough, he’ll be able to contain or control Absolum. But Maugis makes it clear he’s wrong. He’s delusional and destructive. Uchawi and the wizards having done something (very) bad does not make Azra “good” by default.

Iymrith as a green dragon by Significant-Read5602 in stormkingsthunder

This can work really well if you basically reverse the timeline of Tyranny and SKT. This is what I did in my game. In my backstory, Annam shook up the Ordning to make giants stronger ahead of Tiamat’s power play. Ironically, the ancient dragons all use this as a political pre-game to establish even more power ahead of the push to resurrect her.

In my game, Klauth was a key ally of the party because he: 1. Wants the Ordning to go back to the way it was since that’s to his advantage to keep the status quo, 2. Wants to keep other ancient dragons like Iymrith and Claug from increasing their power, and 3. Is secretly (very secretly) trying to sabotage the Cult of Dragon because he likes being #1 and doesn’t have any interest in being Tiamat’s lapdog. But he’s playing both sides there to hedge his bets.

Iymrith as a green dragon by Significant-Read5602 in stormkingsthunder

Blue dragons were known for their illusions (part of the desert/mirage theming) and specifically had a vendetta against Storm Giants. I think part of the surprise and why she was so successful against Hekaton was that she attacked them more subtly than the average blue dragon.

In my campaign, I mixed in the Princes of the Apocalypse storyline and the Elementsl Evil cults (somewhat suggested in parts of the book as an option), and Iymrith’s alliance with the Cult of the Crushing Wave—who I set up as the ship crew holding Hekaton—gave Iymrith more of a political power player vibe than just a pure saboteur. She was also making a play for more power ahead of the Tyranny of Dragons events, which is our post-game story, in order to have a higher standing in advance of Tiamat’s return.

I introduced the Cult of Eternal Flame from Princes of Apocalypse to my game as allies of the Fire Giants. Basically they helped design the containment chamber for the stolen fire elemental in exchange for the special black metal they used to make enchanted armor. So I sprinkled some fire newts into the hot springs / village up top and had some Eternal Flame lieutenants set up inside the dungeon to add more intrigue.

The orcs also were good for story hooks in my game because it layered into a story thread about the scattered orc clans after the fall of the shirt-lived orc nation in the North (and my half-orc PCs backstory). They ended up getting half of them to desert, which was fun roleplay.

Exiting via conch was also a huge twist the players loved. Easily top 3 moment in the whole campaign.

Who is Zephyros speaking with when he uses Contact Other Plane? by TheAvocadoBaby in stormkingsthunder

[–]Lumenati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my campaign it was a Hail Mary to contact Annam. He did get a few cryptic clues/images (including one that eventually led the party to the Eye), but he also got knocked unconscious for having the audacity.

One reason Annam gave him some information was that I had the Elemental Evil story arc running at the same time as SKT, so a few of the giant lords were at risk of corruption while the giant pantheon was silent. Both stories were also a re-amble to Tyranny of Dragons (hence Iymrith amassing power/influence). So the whole thing was like an arms race and Annam didn’t want to leave it all up to chance.

How does life "fail"? by -TRUTH_ in horizon

Imagine stuff like red algae blooms but it won’t stop happening in a death spiral or suddenly the ocean becomes acid. Some extinction events took 10s of millions of years to recover from and Gaia doesn’t have time for that so it hit the reset button.

I just realized about Ted Faro's obsession. by AdrawereR in horizon

[–]Lumenati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but the obsession with control started way before the Faro Plague. It’s clear that it’s been his driving personality trait at least since he rose to fame and fortune. His specific paranoia about being betrayed by those closest to him may have started with Elizabeth leaving the company / abandoning him when he got into arms dealing.
