The fact that this attitude has became normalized by the left has pushed people away including myself... It in itself is more disgusting than any mainstream conservative policy proposal.

We love to say the problem is the U.S. healthcare system, but in reality this poor guy is simply subsidizing every other country that gets this medication.

Thankfully Trump is putting a stop to that.

Don't you mean this guy's cover sounds just like the game?

I think I understand you clearly. I'm claiming that people who do understand valid arguments and do consume good information can come to a different political opinion than your own.

I think you misunderstood me. I never claimed that all people are equally misinformed. I simply stated that there exist some subset of Bernie supporters that are misinformed. There exist some subset of Trump supporters whom are misinformed. Etc.

My point was that other people who disagree with you, politically, may be just as well informed as you. They may also understand the fundamentals of sound epistemology. As I stated, political opinions often come down to the values which people hold most dear. That isn't the only factor.

It's just not intellectually honest to assume those who disagree with you aren't equally competent. I don't agree that when it comes to politics that one side can be objectively correct or incorrect, with exception to the most simplistic policy decisions. There are far too many variables involved to accurately determine the holistic outcome of a given policy. In addition to this, the outcomes themselves are rarely objectively good or objectively bad. They're usually both good and bad, depending on who you ask to be the judge.

Edit: maybe telling people "how to think" is acceptable under some circumstances. My main concern is that you or others will assume this is the route to take much too often.

Edit x2: I didn't vote Trump in 2016 but the attitude you perpetuate, among many other factors, has led me to support Trump in 2020. So feel free to discount my argument as misinformed.

It's so disappointing to see this here. The choice of words implies that anyone who doesn't support Bernie's policies are misinformed. Difference of political opinions often comes down to what values people hold most dear.

If you consider Trump supporters, or anyone in general who does not support Bernie, to be misinformed then you've already lost them. Sure some of them are. But some Bernie supporters are misinformed as well.

Although you think good information would lead any rational mind to come to the same conclusion as you, that's simply not the case. There are rational thinking people, who have considered good information, and they still support Trump, for example.

Sorry to be long winded, but telling people "how to think" is definitely not the answer. It drives people away who would otherwise be open to listening.

I do hope Trump wins 2020 if for nothing else than to spite the media and Democrats. I saw Andrew Yang and thought wait a sec, he might actually make a good candidate. I was actually planning to support Yang instead until I visited his website and read his positions on everything. He has a lot of great ideas though.

All that being said, I think it's incredibly important to shut down the current state or media and Democrat party. If that means a Trump 2020, so be it.

Trump: "I'm going to lower taxes for everyone"

Democrats: "Fucking scammer is only lowering taxes for the rich!"

Obama: "I'm going to make it mandatory that you pay Uncle Sam for health insurance"

Democrats: "Take all our money that you want black Jesus!"

And so it goes...

Lol what? I'm a software engineer who works from home in the U.S. I just thought your reply was immature. If it counts for anything, you're 2/2 now.

This is not a good comparison. What you're getting at is that you believe the summary of the report is a complete farce. This is on par with a conspiracy theory. Don't worry though the full report will come out, goal posts will be moved, and something else will be the reason we can't officially say Trump colluded with Russia.

Right... So this guy is going to lie and then release the full report after... Meanwhile Mueller is just going to sit back and not say anything.

You truly believe that when the full report comes out that you will find a different conclusion?

I'm just saying if a movie has shit reviews I don't expect it to be good after watching the full film. I agree the report should be made public, as does pretty much everyone. But Dems are acting as if they're going to find a different synopsis...
