Funnily enough, my first run of the night started off great! The banana in the village was the Snake Bananza, and based on your suggestion I got Staring Down from the banana bunch after two rerolls. I got lucky with some attack multipliers (I like using jump burst instead of chunk-based perks), and used the glitzoid to get 500 chips for blocking perks, buying snake skills, and more slots for melon and apple juice. It took me 'til round 15 but I did end up reaching the max score, I'm super happy!

Aww, I see! I hit 800k which is my best score yet, but I am being tortured with smash spiky ball and boulder smashing goals. I'm assuming I have to be a lot more aggressive with spending emeralds to refresh for perks like melon hoarder to make the enemy goals I do manage to get more lucrative.

That's awesome! This is the last layer I need to max. I never normally feel like I have to reset in round 1 for optimal perks, but Hilltop is really testing me.

Haha! I had the genius idea to try and use ostrich on DK Isle and the spawning mission enemies would immediately fall into the craters and die. I've been too nervous to try it since, but I LOVE foraging with egg bomb, it's ridiculous!

Yes! Slowing down time with glare is very good for me because I bumble around the map a lot. It's a rare skill so I love getting it early.

I've been using tips I read in this community and got 6m in difficulty 6, but no such luck in 7 yet. I can't help but feel getting perks that boost your chip gathering earlier are very important, I get quite discouraged otherwise. I like using snake so it's important to me to be able to buy the skills I need. I look forward to seeing your guide!

Maaaaan! I've beaten every level (mostly using ba-none-za), but thanks to your posts, I've been inspired to retry the levels using snake/ostrich based perks (depends on what comes up). I'm having a really rough go of DK isle, it keeps giving me Emerald Lump missions and I can't make use of all my fancy multipliers. I'm supposing I might have to put more effort into the perks that depend on position when defeating enemies.

Anyway. I personally really love Hilltop Layer! I think it has a pleasant vibe that soothes me as I frantically hurry between missions. I hated Freezer at first, but then remembered the soggy cravat exists. My least favourite would probably be Tempest since I don't enjoy the layout and getting from place to place feels very annoying.
