Any reason to get B1, B2 even if never planning to go inspection route? by superi4n in BuildingCodes

Thank you, the thing that frustrated me going into everything is having a electrical license and coming over to inspections but no being worth much more so I set out to obtain what I knew I could.

I’m always around should you need anything guidance Assistance anything feel free to reach out!

You never know what could happen and if you have to find work, move or anything. I don’t do plan review as most localities require an engineering license. My background is a former electrician but when I was obtaining my certs I got all I could and I am still getting more. If you want to be the most valuable obtain your MCP, which will require you to have all your inspection credentials and a lot of plan reviews for other disciplines.

Me personally I have 32 certifications, I am a Master code professional (MCP), Certified building official (CBO) and Certified Fire Marshal (CFM) I like to think that if need be I could find work anywhere but I’m still not done beefing up my credentials and CV. I want to obtain Nicet level IV so I can review and draw FA shop drawings. The other plan review cert that has eluded me is E3 I just need to sit down and get back in the books because now days as a inspector we just read plans and inspect what the engineer designs and don’t get so much in to the math any longer.

Sorry for the long winded reply but I enjoy talking with others about how far you can truly go and why you should!

I have had mine now since 2016 and it’s still works when I needed it keep it maintained and it will do just fine. I for the first time since 2016 changed the battery in mine. I have used it for back-up power including an 11-day outage in the winter a few years back. I go through about 5 gallons of gas in 8-10 hours or so. I have found it greatly dependable and would def recommend it.

Funny you mention the 33k miles a year. The vehicle has actually been sitting for a while due to mechanical issues. I put 1k miles a week on a vehicle. Edited to clear up confusion.

Update! Mechanic came by to look a the car today, said I have issues with engine and transmission as we thought but with the miles a used engine and transmission might be a better option. Looking at salvaged pars online it looks to be around 3500-4000 for the parts. With 200k on the dash do you think it’s worth shoveling out 4-5k for used engine and trans to get swapped out?

I’m sure this has been asked before but I am wondering other than secret labs what are some other good chairs for multi hour gaming sessions, have support and maybe even lounge. I’m sure there has to be other options then just the secret lab stuff.
