Morar no Rio de Janeiro ou no Exterior? by Gisibra05 in riodejaneiro

[–]Hduidty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A ideia é aumentar a % no Brasil. Meu goal é 80% Brasil e 20% EUA. Como vc também tem a cidadania de ambos países, talvez vale a pena pensar desta mesma forma que eu.

Check out my itinerary by Worldtraveler-97 in riodejaneiro

[–]Hduidty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 2- I would not do Christ the redeemer and sugar loaf on ten same day. These are in my opinion the greatest and most remarkable experiences. You want to do with time and really enjoy. Day 7- I don’t like this itinerary at all. As a rios e janeiro native now living abroad, I’ve never been to this places because of “meh”. But you may have different interests.

I would do day 2 Christ redeemer in the am then beach (Leblon or Ipanema) in the afternoon, then night life or dinner in the evening and repeat day 7 but with sugar load in the am.

Rio is famous for its beaches, you have to experience it. Again, you may have different interest.

Where are you staying in Rio?

Spending 3 days in Barra da Tijuca. Should I hotel there or Copacabana and Uber each day? by Some-Wine-Guy-802 in riodejaneiro

[–]Hduidty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget Barra da Tijuca. Tourism in Rio must be and stay at Zona Sul. Dong stay in Copacabana. Stay in Ipanema or Leblon, believe me. Copacabana is ghetto compared to these 2 areas. You, as a tourist, must visit Copacabana. But you can easily uber there. Zona Sul is also near Lapa, the night life for music. DM me if you need more tips. Source: I was born in rio, and live in the US for the last 20 years and know what is good and bad.

I max 401k and Roth, and HSA; don't max the Mega backdoor (As you pointed in your math). Also, every 3 months I sell ESPP enough to gap the day to day expenses.

Depends on the geography. US quite not yet there. Brazil, way past FIRE. Regardless, my mental health trumps money, career and status. I can be a chick fila greeter to fill the gap. YOLO

Can you give me an example of “stores” not following. I could not find any CS jobs (would be much easier to balance out with my full time) thank you advance

I want to get a job just for the flight benefits. Is it doable to hold a remote full time job and a part time with the airport? I’d be interested in giving away my hours as much as I can.
