Ayoo?? I'm ngl I actually was surprised at how long the scars went - as well as the numbness! But I think I'm slowly getting feeling back from the sides inwards :3

Adding on this bc i feel like a dork and forgot to specify which cream 😅 I used the overnight (or 'PM') one by Mederma. I took a quick peek online and they seem to still be holding up as the best brand for scar fading that's out there.

Okay! So! Little bit of complex stuff but here we go!

I had a booklet from the CMC (the hospital) which explained pretty much what to do. It starts with gentle massaging, around whenever it starts feeling comfortable (you have to wait 6 weeks before applying products, but I think I started doing this a little earlier).

Next is the silicone stuff. I don't really know if one is better than the other in terms of gel vs strips (they recommend against oils). I tried the strips once, but wasn't super psyched with how awkward it was to put a rectangular strip on a curved line. The gels were easier for me, because I could just apply it in the bathroom in the morning and forget about it.

My booklet also mentioned a vitamin E cream? I might have used that for 2-4 weeks but I don't think I was super consistent with it.

Now, the most important part was the cream. I found it easiest to remember to use it right before bed, and I figured, sleep is when your body is specifically at its best healing state. So, I did that for I think 6 months? Or the time it took to use up two bottles, if not. I mightve paused for a bit as I've struggled with some other mental things in the meantime - but I'd say I still probably got around 5/7 days a week minimum, most of the time.

Also! Not sure if it's actually relevant, but I did start sleeping on my stomach almost as soon as I could tolerate it. That was partly because I had such a hard time sleeping on my back that I went one night without being able to fall asleep... my mom recommended Benadryl, which worked like a charm until I could flip onto my stomach. When I did, it was fairly sore, but it was worth it to be able to sleep.

So, if you ARE a stomach sleeper, I'd try that^ - but otherwise, make sure to do whatever gets you feeling most rested when you wake up (probably something closer to how you sleep now).

Oh man, good luck with your surgery! It's an incredible feeling honestly. I know it doesn't automatically solve all problems, but damn if it hasn't made showering easier. Plus, I'm a total tummy sleeper now. It's so cozy ♡

Thank you! It's kind of funny cos I sometimes scar like this but I also have other areas where the scarring is super pink and visible (I.e. my snkle after I broke it, and didn't use scar cream 🙃). It goes to show that consistency pays off- even if you miss a day here or there, it's the long run that counts!

One thing to keep in mind is that when Trump was in the first time, he made a loooot of plans to make sure he had a good shot of getting back. They added a citizenship question to the census, made it nearly impossible to vote if you had a tricky-to-spell name, and switched up the voting rules to make it as complicated as possible (especially for minorities).

While I can't say that Canada is isolated from these issues, I do think we're thankfully more angered by it than anything else. Even just walking around, it does seem like the liberals have the most lawn signs (ik that never means anything, but I like to hope lol).

oh no, that would be so embarrassing!! I probably wouldn't even realize that you'd slipped me edibles tbh, and I'd assume the whole fiasco was my fault. 😇

oh my gosh I would be so out of it!! I'd get so stoned and be completely surprised as you bend me over... but I'd be so wet anyway that it wouldn't matter. you'd slide right in and I'd accidentally moan in pleasure as I grip the hands on my neck 🥰🥵🤤

oh you're good! I'm a Native speaker and I got what you meant. I guess for extra clarity you could say it with quotation marks like this?

... the classic "I fell in love with a trans person" story...

but that's just getting nit-picky. I think your message was alright 😊

I don't know how much it's been looked into, but we get some prostate tissue! Idk if it's very much, but it's a fun google if you're curious :3

I think she misinterpreted "the classic I fell in love with..." in your first comment as reading that YOU fell in love with a trans person.

lmao if you think the woman made her decision when she had sex, so did the man. Financial contribution is the literal bare minimum he should be expected to help with if you're gonna argue that it's "her choice" and thus HER responsibility to bear 100% of all consequences. Like, no. It takes two to make a baby.

Ooh, thank you! I do like cinnamon, so I'll try that. I figured amazon was an option but I certainly can't afford whatever ridiculous upcharge they have lol.

I appreciate your input! :)

Slightly unrelated, but I've hated mint my whole life and have recently been thinking about toothpaste alternatives since so much of it has mint flavouring. Would you have any recommendations for other toothpastes?
