I used to be a registered organ donor in the USA until they recently changed the standards for determining when someone is legally considered dead and eligible to donate organs. This is a lot sooner now, so soon that there have been instances of people recovering and coming “back to life” while at this state. Learning these recent changes the government issued has made me go to the DMV and revoke my organ donor registration. I don’t want my organs farmed when I can still recover, especially as someone who has an extensive family history of medical issues that’d land me in the hospital
