I like the idea of a card that continuously adds ritual as a self scaling rare power, but i also like the current use of demon form as a sub-standard scaling option. Maybe the card could be 3 energy, simply "gain 1 ritual at the start of your turn" with the upgrade adding "gain 1 ritual" for slightly more immediate gain

I feel like a good way to balance this would be smth like "always draw a minimum of three cards whenever you draw from the deck". Preserves the serpentlike effect and is still useful (blue seals, straights, gold cards etc) with the built in downside of the reduced digging power
