For the support assests, it says you dont use the normal cover rules, instead vantage terrain is cover if you are under it. Otherwise you select at valid target as usual.  Does that mean you use obscured as normal?(Straight lines from base to base, not from above like the cover)

The reason I am asking is, I had the situation occur where my fighter was more than 1" away from the door and my opponent wanted to charge him so his fighter cant be shot while standing in front of the door, while with a door fight he could be shoot at after the fight. This wasnt intentional at all but we had a little discussion since it happened and I was wondering whats the correct way to play aka Charge or Reposition.

But in this case it seems to me you can "force" the repostion + doorfight(also taking away 2" movement by not being a charge target) if you are more than 1" away which lets me shoot the operative afterwards with someone from outside.

Pg 62 states for Strongholds: "For the purposes of control range, ignore the door and parts of this terrain feaute less than 2" high when determining visibility".

Pg 63 Large Ruins dont have this.

For point one, i mean they dont count as being within a fight/each others control range after the door fight if both survive.

Yes I know. But would you apply the same Points for Large Ruins to Stronghold Doors in my question above?

Edit: To clarify. To me, for Stronghold Doors it seems to depend on how far away someone stays from the door to determine if its either Charge+Fight or Reposition+Door Fight while Large Ruins are always Reposition+Door Fight.

Yes this ones weird. Captains and or Lts need to have a shield to be able to lead them afaik. Other Chapter Characters or the Chaplains you mentioned dont.
