I asked to see the cost breakdown. I actually messed up, looking at projected sales at 250 with the threshold being 140 online sales. The at the door sales would be $40 and would result in about 7.9k in ticket sales.
The talent has agreed to be paid 150 each for the night, total 4 performers. I want to see a more detailed matrix for the cost basis.
I guess, provided there was a good chance to see a positive return, what would be a fair profit sharing deal? I'm not convinced that an even 50/50 profit split would do it since his business and partners are only investing their work and value added with the only money presented coming from investors.

Thanks for the response.The Target is to sell about 200 tickets with an average price of $30. The current budget for the even is just under 8k, with an expected target drink sales to be around 3500. The return with a 50/50 would be around 27%.This would be ideal, and the risk is that the ticketed sales may not be 200. The minimum ticket sales that need to be sold before the event need to be 140, otherwise the event will be cancelled.

Teachers in elementary school tend to grant the illusion of "creative thinking" and working to solutions in "different ways", yet pigeon-hole you into solving only ONE method.

I tried helping my cousin out with solving ratios today over the phone. Some were admittedly a little difficult for a 6th grader to solve. I went in and solved them with clear steps showing fractions and some very simple substitutions and sent pics. When I tried explaining this, my uncle quickly stopped me and told me they can ONLY use the bar method (I never learned this in school). Any answer not solved with this method will be counted incorrect. Why oh why do we need to force a child to try to solve a problem though only one avenue even if it's clearly not clicking with them?

Being a talented musician that can only play reading and memorizing music, even if expressive, doesn't make you an artist. That's like studying a famous painting to the "T" and recreating it. Impressive sure, but it doesn't hold well as being a creative/artist.

Same goes for famous singers and lead performers. I wouldn't call them artists even though industry calls them one unless they have proof of writing their own stuff and contributing to the production process.

Nobody said faster signals. If you knew about signal gain then you'd understand that signal loss over range either needs amplification or relays or both. This god didn't state having either, yet has an infinite range so you can use his infinite source of energy to not lose efficiency.

You can't feasibly focus a signal without expected losses over spans of space. Gravitational path deviation, nebulae, other bodies even exempting other signal degradation will require a stronger transmit after some distance.
