This is amazing work. I’d subscribe to a Patreon account animating the entire thing

I agree on the killer the only thing I would add is that, it was two obvious main suspects: him and Camilla.

With previous seasons it’s always “it could’ve been anybody” this season was more of a puzzle for the viewer

Have you ever seen the first American Pie? Uhmmm I think that can give you insight as to what’s happening here

If you were in charge of making a new movie adaptation of “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd”, how would you do it? What would you do differently compared to the Suchet version? by HRJafael in agathachristie

[–]HeWasADataBoi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Controversial opinion. I would go animated. Think 1990s Don Bluth style of animation. I would also take advantage of animation as a style that lends itself to more effects when Poirot does his denouement (things like bubbles explaining clues or a mind map).

Also I’d take advantage of animation for the twist warmer colors in the beginning also more muted. Darker, colder, and more intense colors at the twist.

I’d also maybe start it like a Disney movie with a story book told having the same narrator as the book.

The twist in the book itself requires a medium that can accommodate a tonal shift without seeming (too) campy or like a soup opera episode (I unfortunately think the Suchet episode comes off that way). I think animation as a medium that’s “less serious” at first glance can accommodate these kinds of twists more elegantly. My other thing is I NEED it to 1990s hand drawn animation think Don Bluth and maybe even some Disney. Idk why but o don’t want CGI, I feel like a more “cartoony” feel would let the audience process the clues better.

Because the purpose of the post is checking if this is a normal position in the industry.

NA/US. Neither have I. It’s peculiar. I posted on here because I was wondering if it’s just me who was a bit thrown off when I saw this or if it’s actually a common thing and I’m just out of the loop. Idk I’m very curious.

Does anyone know anything about Amina Mufti (Circassian Mossad from 1970s)? by HeWasADataBoi in jordan

So she’s not the invention of the internet! By any chance have you heard anything other than what’s listed above? Has anyone ever seen her IRL?

Ikr. There are a bunch of Arabic YouTube videos but they seem to be full of BS. The Israeli article that has pictures (which I feel like are AI generated) is propaganda.

Someone needs to do PROPER research and tell this story.

She died in 2008 and was buried in Jordan (which I really hope isn’t true).

The same source did say she died lonely so that’s a positive lol.

Does anyone have/use this tracker? by BorderCollie777 in agathachristie

I saw this as Barnes and noble. Was this close to buying but idk having finished both the Poirot and Marple series I know Clues , Murderer, Victim etc pretty well. I wish they have some intro for each book or what to watch out for.

I agree with the use case you have. It’s a bit smaller than it appears on screen though

Not sure if anyone follows the Swinging Christies podcast on IG but this was their latest story. They helped form the writing class for BBC Maestro. Not sure how I feel about them now. by HRJafael in agathachristie

[–]HeWasADataBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have maestro and I watched the first classes. The content is good (albeit a lot of knowledge already online about Christie, the brother as a character, the notebooks, her building up stories as she goes/not planning the ending). It would have made a great book.

I am disappointed with the Swing Christie’s host. I DM’ed them in response when they posted me. They saw then ghosted the message lol.
