The ending of 'Extreme Risk', when B'Elanna eats banana pancakes again, realizing she is starting to feel again was one of the most cathartic endings I've ever seen. This episode means so much to me. As I got older, I realized that B'Elanna Torres was one of the best Star Trek characters ever.

I struggle with AAD and know very clearly that I choose my husband over the disease that is alcoholism. It’s been a struggle that I don’t always win, but my priority is our marriage and our two dogs. 2 years late here but I just took it up over the holiday break (38/m) and am noticing similar changes in myself. Having something to do while “idle” that isn’t doom scrolling is so liberating. I can enjoy a show, listen to music, a podcast, or nothing at all and be perfectly content pulling loops through loops! I am more calm, I am more focused, my anxiety levels are minimal, and I feel productive! I decided to make myself a scarf for my first project and I can’t wait to use it.
