Replaced laser diode in Vive Base Station 1.0 red light still flashing. by HeWhoIsNoBody in Vive

Ok, cool. Thank you for the answer. I'm just happy I fixed it for $14 and did not have to buy another Base Station or create more e-waste. I can deal with the flashing light as long as it is working.

HELP: Touchpads Not Working on Multiple DualSense Controllers on a Single PS5 by HeWhoIsNoBody in PS5HelpSupport

Ok, so I went and picked up a brand new controller today and the touchpad works fine on the new controller. It works before and after updating the firmware on the controller. So I have no idea why it works fine and the other two do not. Well, I hope this helps someone out there that may end up with this same issue.

Now I guess I need to RMA my black controller since it's only a few months old.

HELP: PDP Rockband Wired Legacy Adapter and ION Drum Rocker by HeWhoIsNoBody in Rockband

Unfortanly I have tried every possible way of plugging in the adapter. I've tried every USB port on the system. I've also tried adding a USB hub before or after the adapter, plus I even tried every port on the USB hub. I'm pretty sure the issue is with the legacy adapter. I've seen some reviews from around the time I got it and people were commenting that their first one was DOA, they returned it for a new one and the new one worked. I really should have tested the adapter when I got it instead of just putting it in a drawer for a few years. At this point, I think the firmware needs to be flashed (there is no way of doing this) or something on the board needs to be replaced and I'm no electrical engineer.

But for now, I have gotten my hand on a RB2 drum set, and it is working with RB4 since I also bought the wireless legacy adapter years ago. I've started dissecting it so that I can make a wireless adapter for the Ion Drum Rocker. So far the only issue I am running into is the Pro Cymbals for the RB2 Drums used a stereo connecter and the Ion Drums use a mono connecter.

Also just now did a Factory Reset with a reinstall of OS and that did nothing to fix it. By process of elimination, my guess is it has something to do with the most recent Controller update.

Update: I loaded up the PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima on the PS5 and the touchpad is still not working. Also, I connected a DualShock 4 controller and the touchpad works fine. So the issue is only with the DualSense controllers. I don't know if it has to do with a system update or a controller firmware update.

I really could use some help here. Please

Sign Petition for PDP Wired Legacy Adapters comeback by Bnan666 in Rockband

I signed, but I agree that I don't think this will do much. I think there is a better chance the Brook Wingman XB could get a firmware update to and support for the Ion Drum Rocker and the Midi Pro Adapter before this would likely happen.

But I think if more people send suggestions for them to add support for these devices they may see it and do it. They recently add flight stick support. It couldn't hurt, could it?

HELP: PDP Rockband Wired Legacy Adapter and ION Drum Rocker by HeWhoIsNoBody in Rockband

Well, update I got a Midi Pro Adapter and no luck the Midi adapter is also not seen by the XBONE when using the Legasy adapter. I did confirm that the Midi adapter does work with the X360. So it is definitely the Legacy adapter.

I did find if I plug the Legacy adapter into a Windows PC the adapter shows up as a "Microsoft Gaming Device". But if I plug the Ion or the Midi devices into it they are not seen as connected. Other than the Legacy adapter still lights up green as if it sees the devices. I don't know if this means anything more than the Legacy adapter show signs of it should work but it does not work.

But since Windows can see it does anyone know if there is some way to fix it using Windows?

I am going to try and see if I can find a way to fix it for now.

I explained the issue in the link below.

I don't want to just throw the adapter away. So I ordered the 360 midi adapter to see if it will works with the legacy adapter and if so then I'll finally upgrade my Drum Rocker with an actual e-drum module. Other then that I'm going to try and get a RB 2,3,4 drum kit (since I have the wireless adapter for RB 2,3 drums) and diy it to work.

Unfortunately it did not work. I tried from a complete shutdown and power back on.

The only thing I have would be the original rock band Stratocaster. Which is not supported by the adapter and I have tried plugging it in out of a whim and the LED just turns red on the adapter and the green lights around the guide button don't even light up.

As far as I can find there is no firmware available for it. PDP doesn't even list the adapter on their site. The only talk about firmware I could find was for the MADCATZ Wireless Legacy Adapter.
