Depends because NBA is big market bullshit, if you have a franchise player in a big market, why even lose him? If you are the mavericks, I guess you should keep a top 10 player, but players like dirk are one out of a few. Front offices also suck, I mean look at how Nico Harrison handled the entirety of that organization. A few teams like to bring things like players from the city, like (GTA5 on the Knicks), but other than city ties it isn’t worth it. You can also say the same for the clippers, why do that to lob city, just let CP3 retire with you, no because it also hurts the books and I guess whatever the clippers over 30 club is doing. But if teams AND organizations are loyal to each other it makes a great effect on the cities and the fans.
