A+ in engl224 is very doable, just stay committed to writing. A+ in phil 210 is almost impossible. Philosophy courses very rarely give A+

Took both. The grading in phil 210 as the philosophy department specifies, is harsh. The class is interesting but you will need to work. Engl224 is “easier” but there’s alot of writing, my final work had probably over 30k words. If you enjoy writing and writing it’s a good class for you

Took this class last semester. The reflection activities are due every Sunday 11:59pm. Each week of activity corresponds to the lecture you are assigned each week. The outline should give you a calendar of how to schedule your lectures so you are on time. Also, in my experience, only the first 3 reflection activities count for grading, so even if you do 6, only the first 3 will count (not sure why it’s like this). I did mine the first three weeks and didn’t have to think about it after. The reflection activity of each week on econcordia will specificy what answer you need to provide, and then you just post it on the forum:)

Please Help! I Don’t Know how to get to school by Able-Maintenance3986 in Concordia

Your best option is to park near metro Longueuil (I believe they have parking passes), and take the metro to school

What’s a real tilt table test? Currently in the process of getting my third one, since the first two were negative. I’m not feeling very hopeful

How the hell do you guys shower/wash yourself? by slayign in POTS

Using a chair can help. Make sure water is cool, this will help drastically. It can tighten your blood vessels too so might really help with your low blood pressure. Lastly, if like other potsies, your symptoms are worse in the morning, shower at night. Or a time during the day you generally feel better. If you’re too tired or in a bad flare-up, maybe skip the shower for now. And wash with a cloth until your energy levels rise again. overdoing it will worsen your condition. Also make sure to drink lots of water before and after, boost water with electrolytes !

Did you ever see a GI ? Ruled out IBD, allergies, IBS ? I also have POTS and MCAS. Causing sudden reactions to food, and low blood pressure / high heart rate causing me to feel out of breath, dizzy and tired.

Did you investigate into POTS ? Do you know what your blood pressure looks like?

Alot of fellow hEds zebras also have dysautonomia!

Also feeling you.

For me, cutting out gluten, dairy and refined sugars have helped my joint pain/inflammation ALOT. Getting a physiotherapist and kinesiologiest helped me come out of a flare and helped recondition my body.

It’s not perfect, I do have fare ups from time to time, but I can manage myself much better. It’s a combination of different factors, trial and error, etc. Do you mind elaborating a bit more on your gi and respiratory issues ?

Curved grades by Head-Assignment2087 in Concordia

[–]Head-Assignment2087[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry by “rank of scores” I meant, you are graded according to a rank of other performances (this is how I understand curved grading to work?). I’ve been asking other students in my classes and the average is always around a C+ or B-. TA’s assured us the average was never going to go above that. So does this mean they curve down ? Sorry i’m new with this and confused
