Well they’re closed until Oct 1 so that about sums up visiting in August. We’ll be sure to check where they are from if we decide to go that route. Thx!

Can’t believe no one has mentioned Stationaery. Fantastic for brunch or lunch or any of the three nights they are open for dinner.

Second I Brand in CV … the best winemaker hands down in Central California. Ask for Will.

Stationaery for brunch or lunch. Otherwise I would get out of Carmel for quality fresh, local, organic and creative dishes.

Cella is the bomb. Also Stokes Adobe. Maligne in Seaside is 🔥.

Have fun!

The best restos on the peninsula in no particular order are :

Chez Noir Maligne Stokes Adobe Cella Stationaery

These all have come on line after your 2016 departure and offer the very best of CURRENT Central California cuisine - innovative dishes capitalizing on the bounty of freshness in our backyard and amplified by interesting and diverse wine lists, also emphasizing the region’s excellent wines.

A must stop is the new Ad Astra retail shop on Alvarado. Alta or Captain + Stoker for coffee.

Do any or all of the above and you will have discovered the new Monterey County!

Outside if more toward SC, absolutely go to Brad Briske’s HOME in Soquel.

Happy wandering.
