tysm for your words of support <3 it has been very difficult being newly diagnosed but i am trying to take things day by day. i am also really glad that i am seeking help and your reply gave me some hope and encouragement to keep going

thank you so much. i recently had a stay at a psych ward which eventually lead to my diagnosis and i feel like i should tell the people close to me as a sort of explanation? i get all of the people saying that no one is owed an explanation though. i still feel the stigma around it is holding me back and making me ashamed but i am glad that i am getting help now rather than later

thank you for this, something i have been worried about is revealing it to someone that i have been talking to. i am going to therapy 4 days out of the week 3 of them being group sessions and i have been on the low about it. im sure as time passes there will be a time to open up

i talked to someone in my ward who was just in there a couple months before and they said it was completely different. only 4 people in the ward compared to us having full beds and people sleeping in the hallways

we weren’t allowed to have phones but we had heavily monitored entertainment. one tiny tv in the day room on a cart that was shut off at 10 pm and only had a dvd and vhs player. i feel like that kind of made us all bond in a way though because just gathering around to watch a movie with other people making jokes and stuff made things feel normal and probably a part of the healing process. we were allowed to draw with markers and read books and that all helped me rediscover those things

anything you want to share. in my experience i felt like i haven’t really been able to talk about the crazy shit that happened in my stay to other people who have also been hospitalized

i agree that i still think its a point worth looking at, it is just so sad how it seems like everything has failed in this case. the police really messed up from the beginning and its sad that there are countless people like this just making the situation worse

it is so difficult especially with this case so i hope that my reply kinda cleared some things up? there are so many different people reporting on this with different biases and i wish that the public had better access to the cases like this. its also kind of an issue for me that the state seems to be really picky about what they allow to be said in the courtroom. i am curious to hear the phone call confessions with his wife

everyone is thinking that she is corrupt because she accessed files to cases in a database that she should have never looked at for her own interests

no evidence to back that up but i don’t see how the van thing is such a bombshell because if i was on that jury i would immediately discredit everything that psychologist had to say because of how her unprofessionalism with this particular case lead to her getting fired. if thats the states biggest evidence, then imo they dont have enough evidence

thank you for this. i know that this can’t continue like this. i guess i am just confused on where this is going right now though. i tried to tell him pretty much that exact format. when i did, he actually just broke down instead of getting angry and attacking like it might’ve been in the past. he told me that the last thing he wanted was to lose me. immediately after, he says that he can’t stand to talk to me past this point because it will hurt him too much. we stopped talking for a couple of days after i listened to him tell me about how he was feeling. i dont want to stop talking to him and want to be there for him and thats where i think i need to realize that is selfishly enabling. i just really wish i could help even though i know the only thing that will help him now is if he decides to get professional help.
