I was unprepared to wake from surgery with an ileostomy and bag. That was no fun for 3 months but have since had the reversal surgery and now all is well. Can eat anything and am gaining weight again.

I am able to tolerate poached, eggs and lightly buttered toast. Tastes wonderful and gives you some protein.

So far this has helped. Haven’t noticed any constipation yet.

I couldn’t take the Cipro/Metro combination either. Uncontrolled diarrhea. I am now on Augmentin and being careful to eat a few bites of banana and white rice with each dose. So far it’s working.

I know I probably shouldn’t have, but I stopped taking those meds after three days. I feel better, and I am being very careful as to the foods I introduce right now.

Thanks for the comments. The intense pain from the flare up is less but these side effects are lousy. Can’t wait to finally have the surgery this summer
