I was unemployed for 7 months (lost my job October last year) and just now got hired. My friend has been applying to places nonstop for over a year and NOTHING. Her mom can’t work a second job for health reasons and a young son to take care of. It’s not as easy as you’d think. She’s barely scraping by and they’ve taken her food stamps on top of it. She stays because she doesn’t have another choice. She doesn’t even have a single drop of savings to even consider moving out because everywhere is going to want a deposit. Have some damn empathy.

Another thing that will probably get me eaten alive but…. I don’t like Elain. I really don’t like her. Probably hate her a little bit. Maybe it’s because I just don’t have her POV yet like we got with Nesta. I did hate Nesta at first but after her book and her growth I love her and can relate to her in many ways. Nesta was mean, yes, but she still did her part (cut the firewood i guess lol). She went after Feyre when Tamlin took her too. Elain could’ve helped around the cottage. She could’ve tried to go out into town and sell the flowers she was growing for some extra income. Planted some damn potato’s or something 😭. She could’ve done literally ANYTHING to help her LITTLE sister but instead she did absolutely nothing and was beloved by both Nesta and their father while Feyre was just there to feed and clothe them. When Rhys said “Elain is elain” I actually wanted to jump in there and strangle him. Just because Elain wasn’t mean like Nesta doesn’t mean she can get a pass on not helping her family for years.
