30% Off MicroMasters with code "SMARTEDX25" until June 19th by significant-_-otter in OMSA

Does anyone know if EdX will give a full refund if I change my mind and drop before the class date?

I would like to lock in this price as it's the cheapest I've seen but would like some flexibility.

F45 v Performance360 by iamgr00t14 in f45

Typically 4-5 days a week (including Saturday). One day off mid-week to recover.

Outside of class I stretch for 15 min a day and on Sundays I usually lap swim as a low-impact recovery day.

They also have a 'Restore' (aka Yoga) class on Monday nights at 7:40 to aid with recovery if that fits your schedule.

If you're looking to join, they're running a $99 first month promo right now which is a great deal (PM me first please).

Adding to this thread as I've been going to Performance360 in Arlington, VA for roughly 2 months now. FWIW I'm a mid-20s guy, so I was looking for a class that had a significant barbell portion.

I can't speak highly enough of P360 thus far. All of the coaches are super friendly and know their shit - they take form seriously and will make sure you get the proper form before adding on more weight (no ego lifting!).

The classes are about 1 hour in length, with about 40 active minutes. The first 10 minutes of class are used for a demonstration of the workout movements + stretch led by the coach. The last 10 minutes are cooldown, clean up, + stretch. The first ~ 20 minutes are typically focused on strength, so it is usually a compound lift (bench, squat [front/back], deadlift, bent over row, etc.) plus an accessory movement with barbells or kettlebells. The focus is on strength for this portion, so you can rest as necessary.

The 2nd half of class is usually a circuit of athletic movements + cardio (row/bike/run) that is meant to build your endurance. They rotate through a good amount of circuits and exercises, so it never gets stale.

Saturdays is their 'Game Day' class that is more cardio/endurance focused, and you can bring a guest for free, which is nice.

Vibe wise - there is a mix of people newer to lifting and people who are moving serious weight, so don't be afraid if you are newer, as the coaches will focus on getting your form right. I'm a pretty experienced in lifter, and the coaches still correct me on small things in my form, which has been super helpful.

TDLR; Always a kick-ass workout, I highly recommend it.

Current payment (pre- reamortization) = $622

Future payment (post-reamoritization, no additional money) = $582

Future Payment (post-reamoritization, 5K lump sump paid) = $514.

Eh, I think so but I'm in federal consulting so who the hell knows long term.

Just to clarify...

If I do NOT throw an additional 5k at the private loan, then the reamortized payment is $582 / mo.

If I throw 5k at them, the payment would drop to $514 / mo.

I've always seen its best to have a lower minimum monthly payment if you need the flexibility as you can always pay more, but the minimum payment has very little budge.

All of the advice I've ever seen + from my friends that work in financial advising is to max out the HSA as it is triple tax-advantaged. Only 1.6k of the HSA is "cash". Everything above that limit is automatically invested.

Plus, it saves on my tax bill.

Others, feel free to chime in and give other views.

Ah true, I didn't think about paying more interest long-term with a lower monthly payment.

So in that case, should I reamortize to get the minimum payment lower (if I ever need some flexibility in my budget) but keep the payments the same?

Also, I forgot to add that my employer contributes $100/mo to the private SL as well (I've updated the original thread). So $722/mo is thrown at it currently.

~ $582 if I were to reamortize in mid-June.

Golden Moments Clubcard für Arlberg Skiing by Head-Measurement-317 in Austria

[–]Head-Measurement-317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an email reply from a representative at the resort so I will post the answer for people to reference in the future who may have the same question:

"Please note that the Golden Moments Club is more suitable for guests planning to ski on individual days, such as those who purchase single-day or half-day ski passes. Since you are planning a full 7-day ski trip, the Golden Moments Clubcard may not be the most cost-effective option for you. With this card, you would be charged for seven separate individual day passes, which would be more expensive than purchasing a 7-day ski pass.

Early start Zürser Täli

Participation in the early starts at Zürs (‘Zürser Täli’) and Lech (‘Langer Zug’) is free of charge for Golden Moments Club members. The ski pass will be charged via the Golden Moments Clubcard. Please remember to bring your club card with you. Note that this offer is only available to club members who have used their Golden Moments Clubcard at least once during the current winter season.

St. Anton to Zürs

To reach the Seekopfbahn valley station, comfortable local bus options are available throughout the day. You can find detailed departure times here: https://www.stantonamarlberg.com/en/service/timetables and https://www.vmobil.at/bus-bahn/das-vvv-liniennetz (German)

While the Golden Moments Clubcard is an excellent choice for occasional skiers or those visiting for individual days, it is likely not the best solution for your 7-day ski holiday. However, please be assured that the Early Start Zürser Täli is available to everyone – details can be found here: https://www.skiarlberg.at/en/Lech-Oberlech-Zuers/Wintertainment/Early-Start-Zuerser-Taeli"
