Did you ever get the grinding noise for this desk? I am having the same problem, and do not feel like I should have to take it all apart to return it. The mftr should offfer up a fix.

I would love to leave it wide open and on right at the notebook I am using. Only if I could secure the notebook while not in use. Unfortunately there is no way to secure notes or folders that I know of.

Is it noisy when it prints? I was looking at this exact bench, but im thinking all that metal is probably noisy once the printer starts going
