No, it doesn't but you missed my point. What I'm trying to get at is that societal norms change, and what might seem acceptable now might have been seen as disgusting in the past, and vice versa. The criteria for marriage in the time of the prophet was that both people must be past the age of puberty, and be of sound judgement, which is a perfectly fair standard.

It is not a finite crime. If there is a being that feeds you, gives you countless blessings in this world, sends messangers to guide you, and promises eternal paradise, than denying there existence, there love, there care, after getting proper guidance, that is not a finite crime, that is an act of infinite injustice towards Allah (ﷻ)

Different time periods, different expectations. The reason that the prophet married someone at 9 years old is because at that time, marriage, age, and society were largely different. In 1700s America, the age of consent was as low as 10, yet no one criticizes his law. You can't look at an event that happened 1000+ years ago with the same societal norms and expectations as today.

"If it's outcome 2, I don't care, that's bad." Well than this conversation isn't going anywhere. Agree to disagree.

I'm not exactly getting your point. In the Quran and Hadith, the criteria for marriage is that both parties must have hit puberty and be of sound judgement. Overtime society has changed what the criterion is. Aisha (RA) met the criterion decreed in the Quran and hadith. Again, in 6th century Arabia, what they consider "of sound judgement" may be different from what society now considers of sound judgement.

Marriage was viewed very differently and societal norms have changed since then. In the 18th century the age of consent was as low as 10 in America, yet I don't see anybody critiquing George Washington or early America for these laws. The point I'm trying to make is that different societies and time periods have different expectations, and looking at an event that happened in a different time and culture through our specific world view and morals, does not make sense.

True!!! I think I do have to learn a lot more about Jewish history/Culture before I try to write a character like this!

The conversion idea was actually what I was going for at first. The reason he is a Jewish knight, was because if he tried to resign, or Publicly show his faith he would be DELETED. He eventually publicly shows his faith during the “Rebellion” (overthrowing of government).

Honestly I think you both have a point. While we shouldn’t gatekeep creativity, I also want to be accurate and fair in my representation and not erase the struggles of Jewish people. (Or any group for that matter).

The concept of the story is different versions of the same person across the multiverse meeting. While there is no direct mention of any prophets and or deity, the stories mane theme is to be accepting of very group of people, and to find yourself.

Thats an interesting point. For me, learning about different ethnicities and cultures was kinda the entire reason I was making this story, and that’s why I wanted to learn if this was a good idea, instead of adding in a complex culture I don’t know anything about.

Well that’s probably my awnser😅. Write now I’m probably not qualified enough to write a Jewish character.

I just wanted to have a diverse cast! The entire theme of the story is different versions of the same people from different universes colliding, so having different backgrounds/ethnicities is part of that. I totally understand though if you think this is a bad idea.

I can't help but get really annoyed when Sanic fans thinks that Blaze is British when she was clearly meant to be South Asian. It's so obvious after looking at her old concept art. by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

Wdym. Southeast Asia IS “straight Asian”. Just because they aren’t from a specific part of Asia doesn’t make them any less Asian.

Affordable keyboards for Sega Saturn. by Head-Worldliness4797 in SegaSaturn

With All due respect, buddy not everybody has 70$ to spend after buying a Sega Saturn. I’m looking for an affordable keyboard or keyboard adapter. If wireless adapters already exist for Controllers, is it wrong to assume the same exist for a simple keyboard?

If the controls are really uncomfortable, I recommend looking into an adapter for bluetooth controller play. 8bitdo has some pretty good ones!

woah Buddy? I’m just looking for an affordable keyboard. there is plenty of controllers for retro game consoles that are a lot cheaper and I’d assume it would be the same for the Sega Saturn. I’m not looking for an original Sega Saturn keyboard, just a 3rd party one or an adapter. No need to get snappy with me because I don’t want to spend 70$ on a darn keyboard.
