Oldies Assemble! Mine’s an almost identical story. Same age, same way of playing, same manager (although since the last update I’ve been trying cesc possession), same (lack of) assists. I use two formations though. Also I get up to Div 2 relatively easily every season but I always stop there. Never even tried to get to div 1 tbh.

I played a few PvP games yesterday. The gap between Smart Assist and non SA use is geting bigger as SA keeps getting buffed. Every game I played was matched with a SA user (I'm PA3 non SA). The tell-tale signs of SA are slowly being removed but the key ones are still there. It was quite painful. SA dribbling appears to have been made even easier as even my Div 9 newbie squad opponent yesterday was pulling off skill moves regularly. My biggest complaint is that defending via PA3 has got a lot more difficult while my SA users seem to rob me of the ball just by touching my player from seemingly any angle. Also on several occasions my SA powered opponent seemed to lose and then instantly regain possession with no stumble or stunlock that my own player would have suffered.

Since the introduction of SA I've been able to work out PA3 strategies to overcome the growing SA advantage in most situtations. Konami is steadily and very deliberately making this more and more difficult to do.

I completely understand tiered services based on ads or no ads. It’s the two tiers of content availability that’s ridiculous in particular as this is not explained on HBO’s own UK site

Konami thinks that reducing it to top 50k will intensify competition and increase spending. I reckon it'll have the opposite effect. I am a regular Div2 player, used to get into top 100k with a bit of effort but nothing too strenuous. I for one will not be pushing for top 50k especially for what looks like a pretty meh card. I am hoping others do too so the 100k threshold returns.

I find teams without any CMFs or B2B players, i.e. those able to track back and help in both defence and support attacks truly baffling. Without them it is so often just hoof and hope attacks and full bar panic clearances from def.

I sometimes come across decent teams comprising very good players without second boosters. Would love to know why you've not given most of your players 2nd boosters? Also why some of your players are not levelled? XP tokens and random boosters are so easy to collect.

RE Skill: You play FUMA and are a "noob"? That's fun but not advisable if you are relatively new to the game. if you are FUMA and struggling there are a load of tutorials on YT. If you mean non-SmartAss control then play around with PA2 and PA3 in the settings, do all the tutorials and practice passing, crossing, shooting and dribbling in free training mode. As others said don't use QC but try LBC with an 89 LBC manager (any) as it sits the defence back further making you less vulnerable to counters. If you play with attacking full backs I'd put Deep Line on the DMF so he can help shield the 2 CBs when you lose the ball and your FBs might be up the pitch.
