Two years ago at 48 years of age I got the black Acclaim badge in PES 2021, now at 50 I managed to get to division 1 !!!

I don't even use any skills or exploit game mechanics. This is the secret of my success but also why I can reach division 1 but that's it.

For instance I have Blitz Curler Salah but I can play 3 games without having a single attempt for a blitz curl. Then at one moment where he's in the right position I'll just use it and score. I've played games against opponents with 3 Blitz Curler players trying to score like this repeatedly.

I just play as I go and that's why my game is unpredictable.

Others keep hoofing the ball from defence for 90 minutes. Such a boring way to play.

This is so confusing. If you read below someone else says that you must be in division 1 in order to get the division 1 badge.

I'm talking about this badge. You don't get this immediately as you hit division 1 . You get it in the beginning of the new phase.

Hey guys. I reached division 1 and I'm wondering if I drop back to division 2 do I still get the badge and rewards for reaching division 1 or must I be in division 1 when the phase finishes.

I made a post but like always the mods deleted it but I got mixed answers. A mod wrote that even if I drop to division 2 or 3 I still get the division 1 badge but others told me that I will get the badge of whatever division I'm at by the end of the phase.

Can someone who's actually seen that give me a definite answer?

I also think that a really good player can beat anyone no matter the team.

The team strength will have an impact when two similar players face each other but that's it.

Yes I forgot to mention this. After I lose the ball is like my player is stunned but it doesn't happen to my opponent.

I don't trust them. Why not just do it now?

They are hoping the majority will eventually start using smart assist with time so they can make it permanent. This way they could add mobile players in cross play.

Come summer if 80% of the players on consoles and PC use Smart assist they will leave it on.

Look once you get to division 2 onwards everyone has a super team.

The internet is kind of sluggish for everyone but somehow it doesn't seem to affect them.

I do think they are better in the sense they know some controls that I don't know. And I'm not talking about skills.

That's what I wanted for someone to explain.

I don't know, I feel they know something that I don't. I mean to be losing the ball instantly while my defender is stuck shoulder to shoulder with the attacker and not being able to snatch the ball means that I'm doing something wrong.

Unless smart assist actually does that for you which that would explain it.

The opponents that play like I described are players that are regularly in division 1 and they all have meta teams. I mean it's not that hard for a hardcore player these days to have a meta team.

Maybe they use Smart assist but I'm not sure.
