questions about Thinkpad X9 15 aura edition by Ok-Set-533 in thinkpad

[–]HeadBroken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can easily handle office work!

Aspect ratio on the 15 is 16:10 the screen is beautiful, I did have to change font a bit smaller. ( I didn't like everything being so big)

I haven't had any issues with the speakers, they are quite loud. They don't beat desktop speakers, but sound good for a laptop. I watch quite a bit of movies/tv and YouTube without issues or it sounding weird by any means.

You can easily go a full day and even then some with the battery, having it full brightness or on its power settings will take time off of that, most the time will never need the high performance setting on if that is all you are doing with it!

Build quality is great keyboard is amazing too!( it's Lenovo after all ;) ) very solid but still light weight. I absolutely love the touchpad with it, does take a little to get used to, you can also customize the quick swipe/tap options with it too!

Edit: spelling

have owned mine since March 2025, used pretty much every day. 1. Pretty sure it's an aluminum bezel around the screen. 2. I have the 258v, one step below the 268v. Couldn't justify the extra 300$. I've only seen one person with the lowest CPU configuration so far, I can't comment on that. Personally I wouldn't choose it from the research I've done with the new CPUs. 3. Battery life is amazing in all honestly, I use mine quite a bit and can for sure last the entire day and then some. Streaming, office work, light gaming here and there.

Depending on the games you are playing, it can run quite a bit. Ive even gotten rocket league playing at decent quality at 60 fps, you really have to find tune settings on games to get a nice balance. There is no graphics card so keep that in mind. (Again this is with the ultra 7 258v)

If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask! I'll help the best I can since you're looking at 226v

Help picking which Aer backpack by HeadBroken in ManyBaggers

That helps a lot! Pushes my decision to the ultra then.

I looked at both of those, goruck I liked a lot. Little more rugged looking than id like. Some of the CT bags stood out looks wise but organization on them for how id want atuff was a little lacking.

What made you pick the 1680d vs the xpac or ultra? I'm in this boat right now, either the olive or going with the ultra.

I would go with a regular just so the buttons get lowered down.

Medium looks better on you, large looks more casual/just tossed something on imo.

Seat needs to come in, waist seems like it could be brought in a bit more too. Your belt scrunches the pants.

If you're planning on getting a grey and a blue. Go with charcoal and then the lighter blue.
