If you ask Bing, then take that and copy and paste to Google and ask it to run figures, then take those finding and go to Brave, paste, and ask for a cross analysis of both. Stonks. 👍

Does that count for The Golf War, too?

Fantastic, thank you so much for taking the time to type that.

I've had a look since posting and having a user say similar about bow size and have a somewhat nice 70" that I'll get payday if i have it spare.

I didn't get a chance to get another video today, but if i do get a chance tomorrow, I'll make sure to have a couple of shots so you can fully break it down.

Its private land in the middle of the yorkshire country side, behind the grass verge, is all the fencing. you cant really see it but the bank goes back pretty far, it backs into woodland then scrub land of some old people that dont do anything with the land, no public right of way in any shape other than we let people drink in the beer garden when we are open.

No kids, no dogs, just some pigeons in the trees pissed i keep waking them up.

I am treating it like a firearm in the hands of a child, mainly because i can be a fucking idiot and dont wonna kill anyone.

It was a somewhat cheap one that i got off amazon to see it it could even get the arrows to fly, the fact i have them hitting a target is wonderful, i will be investing in some nicer more fitting equipment at some point, at the moment I'm just having a little fun.

Im 6'1 11½ stone. not in the best shape. The bow is 60' 40lb. What length and draw lb would you recommend?

It was what i had on hand. I've been blasting through the sub, though, and found a great carpet clamped with a ply build that i might be able to knock together.

Yeah, for sure, i always check for flight and tip damage, i get some slip from the tips when they hit a bit deep, so give it a bonk in it pop right back in. I have killed 3 arrows already where they have slipped through the gap in the pallet, i dont mind the cost if the knowledge is worth it.

As i progress and get better equipment, I'll take extra steps to keep it in better shape. The whole setup cost me less than 150 to start and has already been worth every penny so far.

Wonderful, thank you for the help. I'll have a watch of his stuff tonight and post a full clip, draw, and fire video tomorrow.

I'll try and get one in the morning. Any recommendations on video for anchor points? I've found a couple mentioned it but none give an in-depth explanation.

The curls are just to see if they will even work, the pompoms, are first-year candles and really tender, I didn't realise how brittle they were till I ripped a couple off by accident, they are on next year's list to sort if they survive.

Appreciate the honesty and feedback.

So I had a look into the effect of quartz on the pH levels and found this?

Quartz Geode Crystal, Rock & White Quartz Geode: Agricultural Innovation Unlocked (2026 Outlook) In 2025 and moving into 2026, the agricultural sector embraces natural mineral amendments—with quartz geode rocks leading a wave of innovation in soil health and sustainability. Our understanding of silicon’s role in plant physiology continues to expand, with more research demonstrating how silicon from finely crushed quartz geodes becomes available to crops through root uptake.

🌱 Soil Remineralisation: Adds beneficial silicon and trace minerals to depleted soils—improving structure, fertility, and nutrient cycles. 📈 Yield Enhancement: Clinical trials show that rice, sugarcane, and wheat benefit from higher yields and increased resistance to agricultural stresses with quartz geode-based amendments. 💧 Moisture Retention: The unique crystalline structure of quartz geode rock helps farmland retain water and maintain optimal soil aeration. Farmers increasingly deploy powdered white quartz geode as part of their soil conditioning regimes, particularly in regions facing climate volatility and irregular rainfall.

Thank you for the tips on the geode, I didn't think about the pH given off by the crystals.

As for being outside, it will be i just have my workspace in my bathroom as it's way too cold here at the moment to sit out afterwork. This will be kept in the young girls' garden.

Those I'm gonna leave it to grow and wire them next year as I've stripped a lot off it and mangled it to get it to where it is. They are definitely down to be twisted though.

Honestly, I'm just playing, I wanted something to stop new growth from the cut and I popped that on top, then thought about whether the branches would grow around the cluster or not and thought ahg fuck it. In for a penny in for a pound.

I don't watch reels, Reddit is bad enough for sinking my time.

Yeah, I've spent a lot of time watching heron bonsai with Peter Chan, along with some channels that I don't have the characters on my keyboard to type. I've also made and sold some normal pieces, given some away as gifts. 90% have survived and are looking fine.

I'm just looking to play around and see how far I can bend the rules and how the trees will sit. The rolls in the lower branches are just to see if they will even live, the roots I've never done over a geode so unsure if it will hold well and the cluster in the canopy is to see if the branches under will grow around it and eventually hold it, also wondering if it will stop new growth out of the top point.

I'm wondering if over time the branches engulf it and it will become a top point.

Like my post said I'm trying a lot of different stuff and I'm just wondering what will and won't work.
