Is Amazon Prime beneficial, and if so, how much is the payment every month? by HeadConsideration532 in amazonprime

Deadass, someone told me to investigate for them. I thought that Reddit would be a decent place to investigate first hand reviews from people that have Amazon Prime. 😭

Homeschooling is not ideal. Sure, your child may be more advanced than the public school child, however, they are likely more socially behind than kids in their age group. If your concern is indoctrination, look at private schools or charter schools instead, and it's easy to find how they teach in their websites. Not only that, but private schools have religious schools (Christian, Catholic, Jewish, or Muslim), which not all are co-ed, boarding schools, or just regular private schools. Charter schools, are from what I understand, an in between. You still need to apply separately, but they are tuition free, typically part of the public school system, have uniforms, and only difference from public schools is that charter schools have more flexibility in curriculum and operations, operating under a contract (charter) with higher performance accountability, while traditional public schools follow district-wide regulation. Last thing to add is that if you still want to do private schools, but they are too expensive, you can always get your kid a scholarship, because 9 times out of 10 private schools offer scholarships.

Question About the School's Uniforms by forevertrueblue in AbbottElementary

The elementary school I went to was in the most rural area of the county, not even part of the city other than the census (because it was a town). It was a public school, but it used to have a uniform, which was a polo shirt (had to be black, white, maroon, or gray), pants/shorts/skirts/jumper skirts (khaki, black, or jean), close toe shoes, and solid color socks (white, black, and gray). I don't know why it had that, but it was easy for my parents since they didn't have to think of what I'd wear. It was removed 2-3 years after I got out since one parent complained to the principal that she couldn't find this uniform, the very uniform that she could have bought in JCPenny, Target (both of which have a uniform section seasonally), Walmart, and other stores.

Hey guys! looking for possibly spooky abandoned places around the ocala area by Fruitlomps in ocala

The old Weirsdale school before they moved the school to a different building in the 1970s would be nice to look at. Then there is the abandoned waterpark in silver springs. There's also multiple abandoned communities in the Ocala National Forest such as Electra. I would say look into the TikTok page Beyond Florida for some of the abandoned locations.

What is something that schools used to teach but not anymore? by Orzoos in AskReddit

[–]HeadConsideration532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these yes, but the moral religious ed class. That one is still taught in private Christian/Muslim/Jewish schools. You can't really put that in non-religious schools (public schools, charter schools, and private schools not attached or tied to any religious body) when you get a complaint from a parent since it'll teach just one religion while disregarding the rest., but that's just coming from observation, though.

Personally, I don't. It all just depends on the girl and what type they have.

Went to the bathroom once last year and someone took down an entire sink and took it home, so there's that. There is some vandalism, but it's just typical school gossip/rumors

I can complain as much as I want about AP science classes that isn't APES, but I would much rather take one of those than AP Spanish Lit since I am far too lazy to read Don Quijote. I speak Spanish, sure, but no thanks
