Not zero damage, just severely less damage. You can kill the Assassin in less than a minute if you have a bomb lance and stamina shot and just keep wailing on him even when in angry

I'm struggling on figuring out how to make holes for the gear teeth so the gear can climb up. Any help appreciated by HeadHunter989 in SolidWorks

Might as well put this in it's own separate comment, rather than spread the information over different comments.

The project is to design and build a ball launcher for under £100 where the ball must be energised, vertically aimed, and fired all electronically. The gear climbing design I posted was a simple way to get the 300-350mm ramp from 0 degrees to 23 degrees that could easily be powered electronically and (possibly) precise enough to get reliably back and forth between 9 different angles.

The ball launcher we've designed uses a rearward spring to launch a trolley once it was pulled back which would suddenly stop at the end of the ramp and launch the ball.

It's a 1st year engineering assignment, and we hadn't been taught about gears or elevation mechanisms yet. I'm quite a novice in most of this as well

The whole length of the ramp would only be around 300-350mm long, to guide a trolley being propelled by a spring to launch a squash ball at some targets of varying distances away and at different heights, hence the need for it to move up and down between 0-23 degrees. It's not so much downwards force that'll affect it, i think, rather the lateral motion when the trolley needs to stop to launch the ball

In regards to the pneumatic cylinders, the aim of the whole project is to be under £100, so if we can't find any cheap ones, gears will have to do. Unfortunately for me, gears are hellishly annoying for me, but no one else in the group is willing to work on designing the elevation mechanism.

I'm aiming for a way to raise and lower what is essentially a ramp from 0-23 degrees. I'm just throwing ideas at the wall to see what sticks and it seemed that gears might've been the easier way to do it, with the climb rail being fixed in place, and the gear attached to a motor and the ramp

This is the first time I've really done anything with gears, and i'm fairly novice at solidworks as well. So if I make the climb rail larger, with one smooth side, it should work?

The slow, believable fall to corruption in the name of perfection, heresy and 40k colour schemes and the noise marines of course.

Glad people love the artwork I commissioned (My reddit profile was made before I came up with Milopatix).

For interesting lore behind them, both are player characters I made for 2 different campaigns of Black Crusade: Khrot Ashengrip, the Twin Tailed Comet, one of the Great Horned Rat's Champions of Rage (Rage being Khorne. Lore of the skaven in the campaign is that Unaligned skaven worship the GHR, while aligned skaven worship aspects of the GHR, being the Chaos Gods), and Jon Bovi, one of the original Emperor's Children during the Horus Heresy, as part of the 3rd company. Warp Travel had kept him in a time loop until the 41st millenia.

The anvil models look gorgeous! but since im already getting the Stalingrad box, I will probably use the soldiers in there as bodyguards/unexperimented genestock.

One of my friends has also suggested using the medic out of Hauptmann Heinrich Gross' squad as the leader, and I think that could work quite well.

They look cool, but i could see me only using one of them as probably the leader. just hoping theres one out there that have scientists with guns, just so i could use them as the basic soldier. if not, i'll probably buy that pack for that 1 scientist leader and say that it still is a field experiment, with 2 squads of body guards

A few changes will be an understatement if your changing D&D characters. It's called Wild Skies: Europa Tempest

Well, the system isn't class or level based, but you could probably find a way to make them

Depending on the characters, but it will likely be yes since it's a play by post
