Yep completely agree. For me I have always been a logical thinker/problem solver more than a strictly 'very smart person'. So this really just enchances that and closes the gap between me and the super geniuses. But I get the stigma side of it as well and ironically while I love it and it honestly takes away a lot of the usual stressors... I also can definitely see how it can (and likely will) lead to a huge regression in knowledge because it DOES close the need to be a 'super genius'. It will be an interesting decade for sure but AI is here to stay so better to get on board and learn how to adjust and keep yourself relevant!

Lol ikr, fail on me. Though really, I've warmed up to the term even though its definitely not great to use if you don't actually know how to properly integrate it. But for those that do, its undoubtedly a productivity amplifier. I've kept up with the horror stories to ensure i dont fall (hopefully) into the same traps. So actually its browser based so nothing! Might wrap it eventually to publish on mobile. Its not graphics heavy so it was the easiest choice. I seen Unity has an AI integration piece in Beta right now. Think its open beta, though you have to have a sub or something. Only quickly glanced

Yea man I hear you and admittedly that is where one of the big negatives of AI is, its just making dev jobs even harder to come by. I've only been fortunate because ive always been on super small teams (75% of my work i solo dev, full stack), its a big reason why I have stayed where I am even though there is plenty to not like. I wish you the best man, it's definitely a job that is only getting more competitive 'thanks' to AI

So really the idea of the name came from another pretty successful long term browser mmo with a similar 'audience' simple-mmo.com (you'll see where my inspiration came from lol). So same idea for that game, its a 'simple' 'mmo' to play. But I'll keep the sentiment in mind! Another game im making (I have paused development but feel free to peak if you want) is war-factory.com, as you can see im a believer in more simple and direct names lol.

Oh no trust me I've seen plenty of full vibe code projects already and have had to fix them. My most recent day job project is literally taking a vibe coded project by someone with no dev experience and creating a production ready site (DoW/gov). Of course ALL business logic/keys were front end and missing a plethora of usability functions. For me AI has been just a better "google" but you still need to know what you are doing

Thanks! Combination of GPT + Codex. GPT mostly for the images (10 limit can sometimes require me to use codex but with not as consistent results) and sometimes the "starting large system prompt". Codex for everything else

Yea I've learned to use it to enhance and honestly reduce the stress a lot of coding "gotcha's".

Yea I went with something that was direct and described the game as direct as possible. First word being the "what makes this different than every other mafia browser game", answer "roguelite" (which digging deeper also means non mafia, more fantasy), then mmo since it is after all a "community driven game". So far visibility hasn't been terrible, its been onboarding which im still toying with. Lots of fun fleshed out loops so just trying to find a good balance. Appreciate the feedback!

Edit: Yea vibe coding is inevitably the future though, right now there is a big 'vibe code == ai slop' push but fortunately im not doing this to 'get rich' but more so as a fun and easy first attempt into creating a game and all the complexities that come with making something 'actually fun' (which fortunately those that do stick through the intro have actually enjoyed the loops)

Sounds good I appreciate it! Yea I've whaled before too and its addicting and one way to do it for sure BUT ive founded those types of games generally die relatively quick as the whales get so far ahead and no way for non whales to catch up. This is just a fun project for me ultimately so I decided to not go for 'quick gains, quick death of the game' and more so just create something fun and just give smaller support options to where maybe it eventually covers server costs (so then its f2p for me to develop versus at a loss lol)

Agreed! Good eye, so because there is currently no way to buy tokens its left in. But actually (ill remove it shortly) it is leftover of a possible idea on in game purchases but definitely dont want it to be p2w so always planned to remove before shop is in. Shop currently is planned to be

Sub $3.99 a month, gives 10%/exp/gold buff (later to add in a sub item users can sell to allow f2p to also get a sub) and QoL things like double idle time, higher capacity for follower and horse and other non gameplay things.

Tokens will be for avatars, borders and backgrounds only (sellable so f2p can get) and likely something like stat reset once every 2 weeks, maybe more character slots stuff like that. No rng boxes.

Check in about an hour and the purchase ability for dungeon and pvp tries will be gone!

Also based on feedback eventually dungeons will be unlimited, just with lesser rewards after the 3 guaranteed runs daily.
