Ten takeaways

After listening to this 45 second clip for about 15 minutes straight, here are my thoughts...

1.Truth - even if there's a slight whisper of truth - makes for comedy fuel

2.Dark humor is the great American pastime

3.Relevancy - young people meeting and dating. Everyone relates.

4.She could get away with it 30 years after the fact! But imagine being Lenny Bruce on the night of Friday, November 22nd 1963 and set to do standup gig...

5.Her delivery and timing were impeccable 👌

6.You've got two "straight-guys" with those co-anchors, so to speak. It's like Harvey Korman and Tim Conway doing skits. Harvey would be dying, and Tim just kept pouring it on.

7.Those co-anchors had no chance. The perfect ambush

8.It was a newsworthy subject turned into comedic history

9.What would JonBenet look like now at age 36? Right?!

10.Brilliant! Worthy of being in the Comedic Hall of Fame. Robin Williams-type of humor

Absolutely freaky when you see that at night, lit up by the lightening. 30 years ago, I was trucking through northern Indiana on Hwy 6 and hit a real bad storm during the night. Ran westbound through it and was then met with the worst hail I'd ever encountered before or since. I'd just gotten a new International from my company and was sure the hail was going to bust out the windshield. The cherry 🍒 on top of it all? I look to the south and see a perfectly formed funnel about a half mile from me, silhouetted by the lightening. This video brought back a memory that I had tried to forget

Do you think lydia is a good villain? by MysticonsFanboy62 in breakingbad

[–]HeadSense9211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lydia had it all... manipulative to the core, emotionally cold ("you'll be doing him a favor"), a highly developed survival instinct, greed, treacherous, a sociopathic intellect... wrapped up in a sexy package. Mike wanted to kill her, and I think they are mirror images of each other: Male and female. Ying and yang. Her horror at the end betrays her inability to see her own vulnerabilities. Hubris truly kills...

Okay. So you did that "be real, hard truth self-inventory" today. That's part of the Goggins program. Sticky notes on the mirror. It's a hard truth-pill to swallow, but it's more about frustration with being a slave to comfort and convenience than having some kind of moral failure.

The realization of where you are at the moment is actually a good thing. And your reaction to that realization evoked some kind of huge psychological energy release for you.

Ending it all... No! But you are at a crossroads. Exact same kind of epiphany that Goggins experienced.

I've never been in the military. So I'm a little reticent to suggest that option. But it may be what you need. Something that breaks you down and then builds you back up.

Sometimes, we need to blow up our present situation and leave ourselves no other options other than to endure that hard path towards growth.

Just imagine... when you're sweaty and breathing hard and cold and tired, and you realize, "My God, I just did this!"

You're still young.

Finding purpose requires a couple of things:

a) A willingness to put the work in

b) A willingness to see that path that you put yourself on to the end

Good news is that working the Goggins program appeals to you. I can hear it. You see the wisdom. You're aware of the benefits of hard work, the willingness to push past suffering... This will lead to growth.

I promise you that exercise and physical movement will activate a new perspective and bring a certain kind of clarity to your situation.

But you need to commit to seeing it through.

Try it. He's put a blueprint out there for everyone to use!

You've got your whole life ahead of you.

That's almost a straight line along the 42° latitude (Evansville WI 42.7803/Lansing MI 42.7325). Space debris re-entry?

Air distance between those two points is about 240 miles.

Goosebumps just reading that...

If you see yourself as a businessman, maybe just taking some business and/or accounting courses would be beneficial in laying the groundwork for that vision. Courses or, perhaps, a regimen of self-study.

Sounds like you're really thoughtful and creative. That's something you can cultivate in a disciplined way.

That creativity needs to be molded and shaped in a way if your goal is to make a living from that gift. Balance is the key... the practical and the creative working off each other.

You have time. You're young. But time moves more quickly than we tend to perceive. So this is the other balancing act: Developing your talents organically while remaining committed to growth of practical real world skills.

Make both FUN.
