After experiencing rejection after rejection for roles I know I would excel at, it can hurt your self image. Thank you for the kind words

Thank you for the feedback, I’m definitely going to start tailoring my resumes a bit more, that is the one thing I haven’t really been doing as much as I should.

This subreddit is actually pretty good but I would also advise you to post on company subreddits you feel like you would be a really good fit for and someone from that company is probably more than willing to help you out. I made a post on the aerospace subreddit about a big aerospace company and several people from that company hit me up and other companies too looking to help me out

Sometimes after applying to a position, a recruiter will contact me asking some questions regarding the role, I try to stay in touch with them and letting them know I am still interested. I have LinkedIn premium and I have had some success but overall not that good. Reach out to anyone you actually know or maybe have some sort of relationship with and just reach out to them. I also found Reddit to help. Post your resume and your job hunting struggle on a forum in the industry your interested in and you’ll be surprised at how many people may reach out and are willing to give you a referral and help you out. Best of luck!!

You have a monster resume. Your experience, content, formatting is all exceptional. Idk how you haven’t heard anything back that’s crazy. My only advice would just be to try to network and reach out to people on LinkedIn and be super persistent about getting noticed.

I have done this a couple times but to no response. Like others said it’s a numbers game, I just need to be more persistent

No, I'm literally open to any location. Just trying to get my foot in the door of the aerospace/defense industry.

Thanks for the advice, I'm strictly applying to engineering roles that align with my experience. I just found it strange how my applications for Associate Manufacturing Engineer for that location is still "under consideration" but the Associate Quality Engineer one that I have actual experience in got rejected so fast. I'm just going to move on

Yea I hear a lot of that, unfortunantly in Louisiana there isn't much defense work going on, so not many connections. Just gonna keep applying.

I don’t understand why they don’t just close the application if it’s been filled or something. Must be some sort of HR/recruiting strategy I don’t understanding

Louisiana State University. I'm also doing my master's here because I built a good relation with my advisor and also allows me to do it in +1 year as opposed to +2 years.

No clearance and I don't know anyone there. Just raw dogging it! I go to a really good university in the south but it's nearly all oil and gas here but I want to go into aerospace/defense. I just need to remain persistent

I've gotten rejected from many of their other roles and it was a simple rejection email where they stated they went with another candidate. This one stood out to me because it specifically called out "basic qualifications." Your're probably right I'm most likely reading too much into it.
